July 2022[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Please explain how the utterly unofficial designation "first daughter of the United States" is an official office worthy of inclusion in a Wikipedia infobox? Do we use this designation on any other articles about daughters of United States presidents? Cullen328 (talk) 05:53, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Barron Trump Knauss requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Barron Trump (2nd nomination). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement topic ban[edit]

The following topic ban now applies to you:

You have been topic banned indefinitely from creating or editing biographies of living people. You may still edit their talkpages.

You have been sanctioned for disruption around Barron Trump. Barron Trump does not use the name Barron W. Trump nor Barron Trump Knauss. Your creations of articles for those names have been obvious and disruptive attempts to get round the results of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Barron William Trump and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Barron Trump (2nd nomination).

This topic ban is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Editing of Biographies of Living Persons#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. Please read WP:TBAN to understand what a topic ban is. If you do not comply with the topic ban, you may be blocked for an extended period to enforce the ban.

If you wish to appeal the ban, please read the appeals process. You are free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. Bishonen | tålk 16:16, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited María Juliana Ruiz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Colombian. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:31, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ana Daniela Hernandez moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Ana Daniela Hernandez, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Netherzone (talk) 00:12, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oh dear. Paulistafan, are you aware of this page, your own talkpage? If you are, please respond below. Did you notice Cullen328's question about "the utterly unofficial designation "first daughter" above? There's another use of the inappropriate "first daughter" designation in Ana Daniela Hernandez. Also, your text actually states she is the father of Juan Orlando Hernández instead of the other way around. Problematic draft, which won't become ready for publication merely by acquiring reliable sources. It needs rewriting. Bishonen | tålk 08:09, 22 August 2022 (UTC).[reply]

Blocked for topic ban violations[edit]

You were banned from creating or editing biographies of living people on 29 July 2022, see above on this page. Your creation of Ana Daniela Hernandez mentioned just above violates this topic ban, and you have since the ban took force also edited several other biographies. You have been blocked from editing for a month for topic ban violations. Look, I understand you may not have been aware of the topic ban. Please respond below. If you're able to assure me that you're now aware of the topic ban, that you understand it, and that you will abide by it, I will unblock you right away. Bishonen | tålk 08:28, 22 August 2022 (UTC).[reply]

I assure you that I already found out about the prohibition of the topic because I did not know I am new to wikipedia and I promise to follow the rules Paulistafan (talk) 02:28, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This is not so much about the rules in general, Paulistafan, but about your own individual topic ban from creating or editing biographies of living people. See the ban notice above. (Blocks and bans are different, see BLOCKBANDIFF.) Do you understand that you're not allowed to create, edit, or move biographies of living people? And do you promise to comply with this ban? Please respond specifically to these two questions below. Not about the rules, but about your ban, OK? And I'm sorry I missed that you answered me above. Please ping me when you reply next time, by linking my username like this — [[User:Bishonen]] — to make sure I see it.
If you are now unblocked, and if you go on to comply with the topic ban for six months, you can then appeal to have the ban lifted. You will have a good chance of it, provided you have been editing constructively in other areas. Bishonen | tålk 02:05, 9 September 2022 (UTC).[reply]

Edits to Koppen climate classification pages[edit]

I’ve noticed that you have attempted to make several edits to Koppen pages, but a lot of your edits are either not really backed by sources or are utilizing sources that are not using the Koppen climate system. The best way to determine that a location falls within a Koppen climate category is to (1) Look up that location’s climate data on its Wiki page, which is usually sourced, then (2) Using Koppen’s parameters determine if it falls within that category. Based on data, Vientiane for example is solidly within the tropical savanna climate zone. It’s not close to being a semiarid climate. Based on the climate data Zambrano, Honduras is not a humid subtropical climate because in no month is its monthly average temperature above 22 C (72 F). I hope this helps G. Capo (talk) 14:58, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello G. Capo , Question : I would like you to please see the climatic table of Zambrano, Honduras and tell me what type of climate it is according to the Koppen classification, since you affirm that it is not subtropical cwa, so that I can correct it on the wikipedia page, please? I will thank you very much Paulistafan (talk) 04:33, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Going by the data, the city features an oceanic climate located at a higher altitude. That makes it a subtropical highland climate. G. Capo (talk) 21:17, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
