This template is used to create a citation for a species or genus to the World Ferns taxonomic database.

== Parameters ==

*<code>mode</code> (optional) – defaults to <code>cs1</code>; set to <code>cs2</code> for CS2-style citations
*<code>taxon</code> – name of the species or genus
*<code>search</code> (optional) – for species, a search on the binomial usually works and this parameter can be omitted; as of January 2020, it is necessary to add the authority for genera, and this parameter should give the full search term (see examples below)
*<code>access-date</code> – date on which World Ferns was consulted
