Mullikarumbur is a village in the Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is located about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the district capital of Tiruchirappalli.

Demographics

The main employment in Mullikarumbur is farming. The residents belong to the Muthuraja caste. They all come under big shot generation.

Etymology

The village got the name from the ancient Shiva temple Mullikarumbur Easwarar. Sri Sangili andavar temple ,shiradi Saibaba temple and periya kandi amman temple are important temples. Every year 2 big ceremony takes place at this village temple first one is Vaigasi month Thear and Karthigai month Arulvakku ceremony.
