Mehath is a village in Jhanjharpur subdivision located 3.2 km from Jhanjharpur. It is in Jhanjharpur Tehsil, Madhubani district, Bihar State. Its Pin Code is 847404.

The total population of the village is 4,656. The literacy rate is 68.54%. The female literacy rate is 61.31%. The male literacy rate is 75.77%.
