The Great Escape is the seventh studio album by Australian rock music singer-songwriter, Richard Clapton. It was recored as Paradise Studios, Melbourne and released in Australia in February 1982. It peaked at No. 7 on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart.
Background and release
From 1973-1980, Clapton released six studio albums with Infinity /Festival before signing with WEA prior to the release of The Great Escape. Music journalist Ian McFarland called it "one of his strongest albums".[1]
