:No worries, it is a very specific rule that applies to Wikipedia due to our use of specialised accounts typically ending in "bot". You may simply click the link to: create a new account and simply abandon / stop using this account. Alternatively if you wish for your registration to be moved to a new account respond to this message and copy/ paste below. Although you're not blocked, a user who is able to change usernames should be able to action this request. Sorry for the inconvenience, N.J.A. | talk 19:18, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

January 2020

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Idanbot", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it contains the suffix "-bot", which is generally reserved for authorized bot accounts. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. N.J.A. | talk 11:37, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't know my last name would bother as it hasn't for over twenty years on multiple platforms. In the case of closing my account will I be able to create a new account on the same email address? (using a legitimate name of course). If so, please close my account. Idanbot (talk) 12:22, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
