Kathryn L. "Katie" Wheelbarger is the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, to the Assistant Secretary of Defense to the Under Secretary of Defense and Secretary of Defense on security strategy and policy issues for nations and of Europe (including the North Atlantic Treaty Organization), Russia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Western Hemisphere.[1][2]
