Afterglow: The Essential Collection 1971-1994 is a greatest hits album by Australian singer-songwriter, Daryl Braithwaite. The album includes tracks taken from his solo albums as well as classic Sherbet tracks, of which Braithwaite was the lead vocalist. The album peaked at number 340 on the ARIA Charts in August 2002.

Review

Adrian Zupp of AllMusic gave the album a positive review saying; “This collection [which] spans the better part of a quarter century, is a tribute to Braithwaite's durability, resilience, and sheer talent. Sherbert's 1971 breakthrough hit, "Can You Feel It, Baby," has all the pop gloss and Braithwaite falsetto that characterised the band, while the swampy bass-driven "You've Got the Gun" is as edgy as the fivesome ever got. The soaring ballad "As the Days Go By" and a cover of Rickie Lee Jones' "The Horses” both stand out. The vocal and emotional power that Braithwaite imbues these songs with is of a rare level.” Zupp concluded saying; “Afterglow has all the "good stuff" that made Daryl Braithwaite a household name down under”.[2]
