Revision as of 11:34, 16 July 2018
The third season American television series Legends of Tomorrow follows a team of time travellers known as the "Legends". It is set in the Arrowverse, sharing continuity with the other television series of the universe, and is a spin-off of Arrow and The Flash. The season is produced by Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Entertainment, with Phil Klemmer serving as showrunner.
The season was ordered in January 2017, and production began that July. Principal cast members Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Amy Pemberton, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Nick Zano and Dominic Purcell return from previous seasons, and are joined by Tala Ashe and Keiynan Lonsdale. The third season began airing on October 10, 2017, on The CW, and concluded on April 9, 2018.
Premise
After defeating the Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their own actions: by revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time. The Legends must to return these anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. Before they can do so, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband, until Mick Rory discovers an anachronism in the middle of his vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time travelling heroics, Sara Lance re-establishes the Legends. Once reunited, the Legends challenge the Bureau’s authority over the timeline and insist that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities, and can only be fixed by Legends.[1]
