Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Recent edit to O. Rajagopal

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, O. Rajagopal, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! October 2015

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Jim Carter 16:24, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jayaraj Warrier requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. April 2016

Information icon Hello. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Vijay (actor) seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 21:51, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

August 2016

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Sayed Umerali Shihab Thangal. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 22:24, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

November 2016

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Robert Wadlow. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

  • Not only was it unsourced, it was incorrect.

Hi, with no reference, and no article for either person listed in your addition, I thought it felt short of worthiness of inclusion in that list, so I removed it. This is a rationale I apply to most lists otherwise where do we draw the line at inclusion? Let me know your thoughts if you agree/disagree. Rayman60 (talk) 20:59, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 8

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Indian family names, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pillai (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, Vishalsathyan19952099. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for December 14

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Satyavati, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sati (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Request reason:

Please unblock me. I will try to add more references. After the earlier blocking, I added some references to the pages, after learning how to add them. But still, I went to the old way. This is my mistake.

Decline reason:

I see warnings going back some time for adding unsourced material. How will you go about sourcing further content? Please affirm you will respond to any further concerns that arise as they arise before proceeding with editing. Please elaborate on "prior block". -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 16:13, 10 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

What earlier blocking are you referring to?----Anthony Bradbury"talk" 15:54, 10 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

looking at their block log Vishalsathyan19952099 has never been blocked before, so i suspect that it was on another account that they got blocked on suggesting that they are creating accounts to circumvent blocks. Lavalizard101 (talk) 18:01, 10 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I was blocked because of the same reason about a week ago.

Well, its not showing up in your block log so can't have been on the English Wikipedia (it could have been on another Wikipedia such as the French Wikipedia for all I know) with this account. So either it was on another account or on another Wikipedia. Lavalizard101 (talk) 07:43, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of three months for persistent vandalism. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

You have repeatedly been told that you must provide sources, and continue to fail to do so. The length of this block relates partially to the previous block which you disclosed but have not as yet provided requested details for. ----Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:33, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have tried my best to add references, and has even added my own references. I now try to make pages only with references. It's just because of some other matter that you have blocked me now. Please unblock me. There is no need for blocking me now. I want to edit pages, and to add more references. The article of Guruvayur Temple in English is written with some partiality, but still lacks many important points of the temple, like the glory of the idol, the main features and festivals. I hail from the South Indian state of Kerala, where Guruvayur is located. In fact, it is just 20 km from my home, and I have visited there hundreds of times since my childhood, and I know many stories about it. I was just adding those stories with references.

Decline reason:

I took a look at a number of your most recent edits. None of them provided any references at all. And your claim that you know many stories about the temple is deeply concerning. Your block is quite literally because of your persistent addition of unsourced content. That you know many stories is not relevant. You are required to provide reliable citations, which you've been totally failing to do. Yamla (talk) 12:44, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the other outlet? There is no any reliable source other than Wikipedia as far as I know.
Try, maybe Birdwatching. - FlightTime (open channel) 13:04, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I ask about online programmes, not birdwatching. Anyway, please leave me from this topic, and this blocking lasts just for a few time. After that, I'm free!

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Vishalsathyan19952099 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I was ignorant and it was because of some kind of spirit that I added posts without any reference. Its all my problem. I hereby request you to unblock me so that I can edit the pages to remove unnecessary parts and add necessary parts.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=I was ignorant and it was because of some kind of spirit that I added posts without any reference. Its all my problem. I hereby request you to unblock me so that I can edit the pages to remove unnecessary parts and add necessary parts. |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1=I was ignorant and it was because of some kind of spirit that I added posts without any reference. Its all my problem. I hereby request you to unblock me so that I can edit the pages to remove unnecessary parts and add necessary parts. |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1=I was ignorant and it was because of some kind of spirit that I added posts without any reference. Its all my problem. I hereby request you to unblock me so that I can edit the pages to remove unnecessary parts and add necessary parts. |accept = accept reason here ~~~~}}
