Dee Tails is an English actor/creature performer best known for his work in Star Wars: The Force Awakens[1] [2] [3] [4], Rogue One[5] [6] [7] [8] [9] and Star Wars: The Last Jedi [10] [11] [12].
Career
Dee Tails started his career as a member of the band MN8 [13] [14] [15] [16] where he achieved 7 top 25 hit singles in the UK[17] and international success in France[18], Australia[19], New Zealand[20] and the US[21]. Their debut single "I've Got A Little Something For You" featured on the Bad Boys soundtrack [22] [23] and was notably one of the first ever remixes by P.Diddy [24] [25] for his Bad Boy label. MN8 also supported Janet Jackson on the European leg of her tour in 1995. [26]
Since the band Dee Tails worked towards his acting career where he did theatre work for many years playing Tommy The Cat in Dick Whittington[27] [28] [29] [30] quoted by The Stage as a "a real standout performance"[31]. He also had a feature role in Batman Begins[32] [33] [34] as a Gotham City Police Officer in 2005. In 2013, he appeared in the film Captain Phillips[35] [36] as a UKMTO Operator. In 2015, he appeared in 4 episodes of Jekyll & Hyde [37] [38] [39] [40] [41] [42] for ITV where he played The Harbinger [43] [44] alongside Richard E Grant. [45] [46]
Dee Tails also featured as a leading role in a Nescafe commercial in 2011[47], filmed in South Africa which featured Dee Tails alongside a piano in the commercial.
In 2015, Dee Tails landed the role of Cratinus[48] in Star Wars The Force Awakens, he then went on to perform as the character L-1[49] (also known as K-Ohn) in Rogue One A Star Wars Story in 2016. In 2017, he plays the role of Slowen Lo[50] in Star Wars The Last Jedi voiced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt[51] [52].
In 2004, he appeared as a mystery guest on the identity parade on Never Mind The Buzzcocks[53] [54].
