Jamal Dibi (born 5 December 1979 in Vlissingen, Netherlands) is a Dutch former footballer who is last known to have played for amateur club A.V.V. Zeeburgia in his native country.

Career

Back in 2013, Dibi had a trial with Indonesian side Persijap Jepara in 2013 in view of the fact that there was an imperious need for attacking midfielders to bolster the club.[5] However, he cut back on the deal only six days later, citing familial reasons.[6]

Contacted by a Singaporean agent in 2014,[7] Dibi sealed a move to perpetual Maldivian Premier League title contenders New Radiant, with the option of a contract extension.[8] In his first few games there, the Dutch forward notched one goal and four assists and was seen as an important player on the team,[9] losing his first match to rivals Maziya S&RC 1-0.[10] On the level of play in the island nation, the Vlissingen native stated that he was surprised by how physical it was.[7]

During his stay in the Maldives, Dibi lived with an Australian and Spanish players.[7] His wife had to stay in the Netherlands due to work commitments.[7]
