History
Before the company was started, several members of the management staff were involved in implementing a Dealership management system (DMS) for some automotive brand dealerships. Company was founded in 2012 by Ivan Mishanin and Alexander Dimchenko, they understood the key problematic issues car dealers would experience such as customers wanting cheaper services done by unregistered dealers. To solve this problem, the team at Bright Box has developed a mobile platform called Dealer Mobility, which is offered to dealers in the form of a mobile app and web portal. [2] [3] In 2014, the company began focusing on how to gather data from the vehicles and convey this information to dealers for enhanced customer support. Ivan Mishanin and Alex Dimchenko believed in the idea that if the smartphone could control a car, people are much more likely to check in the mobile app and use services of a car dealership. Bright Box conducted a survey of car owners and the results showed that climate control, door lock, search of vehicle, alert about any impact and the evacuation out of the car were the most important requirements to be included in a remote car application. [4] [5] [6]
From 2014 to 2017, the company opened their offices in Dubai, Switzerland, Hungary. [7] [8]. At the end of 2017 company has been acquired by Zurich Insurance Group. [9]
Developments
Company developed a connected car platform and named it Remoto. Solution helps car owners to manage their cars remotely via smartphone (to start the engine, to open/close doors, for car tracking). [10] In 2017 company started to use own solution based on Artificial Intelligence to predict customer behavior in order to find the right moment to upsell to them. [11] Connected car platform from the company deployed by several automakers, including Honda [12], Infiniti, Kia Motors [13], Toyota [14], Hyundai [15], Mitsubishi and Nissan [16] In October 2016, Dubai Police signed a collaboration agreement with the company and Nissan Middle East for the safety technology service called “Smart Response”. [17] In the event of an accident, the system works in tandem with the patented Nissan SmartCar “control system” to alert Dubai Police, so that the car’s occupants may receive immediate assistance in quick time. For the development process and implementation company collaborates with Post Luxembourg, Cisco Jasper, Microsoft. [18] [19] [20]
