"États d'Amour"
Song

"États d'Amour" is a song performed by French-Israeli singer Amir Haddad. The song was released as a digital download on 25 August 2017 by Warner Music Group as the lead single from his upcoming third studio album Addictions (2017).[1][2][3][4][5][6] The song has peaked at number 40 on the French Singles Chart.[7]

Critical reception

Sebastian Diaz from Wiwibloggs said, "Singing of broken hearts, unrequited romance and a love seen in “films en noir et blanc”, the Eurovision 2016 representative brings an edgy, avant-garde sound, which melds harmoniously with his dulcet tones. His musical style has evolved since his “J’ai cherché” days. This is less happy-clappy and more artistic. The track, sung entirely in French, straddles the boundary between classy and contemporary, delivering a chef d’œuvre song in a way that only the handsome crooner can."[5]

Commercial performance

On 2 September 2017, the song entered the French Singles Chart at number 40 on its first week of release, making it Amir's third top 40 single in France, the song dropped to number 163 the following week.[7]
