Mohammed Omar Ejaz Rahman is a Bangladeshi academic and the current vice-chancellor of Independent University Bangladesh. He is also an adjunct faculty member of epidemiology and demography at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard University.[1]

Education

Rahman completed his A.B. degree in biochemical sciences from Harvard University in 1979 and the M.D. degree from Northwestern University Medical School in 1983. He went back to Harvard and subsequently earned M.P.H and D.Sc. degrees in 1987 and 1990 respectively.[1]

Career

Rahman was appointed as the vice-chancellor of Independent University by the President of Bangladesh Zillur Rahman in January 2012.[2] In March 2016, he was reappointed as the vc for another four-year term.[3]
