Recently she was second prize-winner at both the Great Elm Vocal Awards, adjudicated by Dame Joan Sutherland, and the St. John’s Solo Singing Competition, London. Belinda has appeared extensively as a soloist, having sung with many Choral Societies across the West country, and has given solo recitals at the Beaminster, Exeter and Frome festivals with engagements taking her abroad to Denmark and South Africa. Most recently she sang the role of Alison for Minotaur Music Theatre’s production of Holst’s Chamber Opera ''The Wandering Scholar'' and was Fiordiligi in Skipton Camerata’s production of ''Così fan Tutte''. Equally at home in the contemporary repertoire, she has been the chosen soloist for several newly commissioned works including two major new choral works, ‘Otter – Lutra Lutra on the Stour’ and ‘Silver Messenger’. Belinda Evans BA(Hons) Music, PG Dip (born 1978) is a singer and actress. She was one of the ten finalists in the BBC series How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, and is due to make her Westend debut in the Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of The Phantom Of The Opera

Evans graduated from Bath Spa University with a BA(Hons) Music Degree in 2001, followed by a Vocal Diploma at the Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2002. Evans is presently studying with Judith Sheridan.
