Iris iberica is a species in the genus Iris, it is also in the subgenus of Iris and in the Oncocyclus section. It is a rhizomatous perennial, from

Taxonomy

Iris iberica is pronounced as EYE-ris eye-BEER-ee-kuh,^[3] and is commonly known as Iberian Iris,^[3]^[4]^[5] or Georgian Iris.^[6]

One reference mistakenly lists it's common name as 'Chalcedonian iris',^[7] but this is normally used for Iris susiana.^[8]
