Jayson Julio Aquino Felix (born November 22, 1992) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Aquino signed with the Colorado Rockies as an international free agent on July 2, 2009.[1] He spent his first professional season with the Dominican Summer League Rockies in 2010, posting a 4–3 win–loss record, a 1.02 earned run average (ERA), and 59 strikeouts in 6123 innings pitched.[2] He also played the 2011 season with the DSL Rockies, and pitched to an 8–2 record, 1.30 ERA, and 80 strikeouts in 8923 innings.[2] In 2012, Aquino pitched for both the DSL Rockies and the Rookie Grand Junction Rockies, posting a combined record of 10–1, a 1.66 ERA, and 110 strikeouts in 10813 innings.[2]

2013 saw Aquino promoted to the Short-Season A Tri-City Dust Devils, and later the Class-A Asheville Tourists. In 14 starts comprising 87 innings, he would go 0–10 with a 4.34 ERA and 73 strikeouts.[2] He was added to the Rockies' 40-man roster on November 20, 2013.[3] In 2014, Aquino played with the Advanced-A Modesto Nuts and the Double-A Tulsa Drillers, posting a combined 5–10 record, a 5.13 ERA, and 83 strikeouts in 107 innings pitched.[2] He was designated for assignment by the Rockies on January 30, 2015,[4] and traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for Tyler Ybarra on February 4, 2015.[5][6] On March 8, Aquino was optioned to the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats.[7] He was designated for assignment on May 5.[8] On May 10, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash considerations.[9] The Pirates designated Aquino for assignment on July 22.[10] He was claimed by the Cleveland Indians a few days later.

Aquino was claimed off waivers by the St. Louis Cardinals on December 9, 2015.

Paul Sterling DeJong (born August 2, 1993) is an American professional baseball third baseman in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

DeJong attended Illinois State University where he played college baseball for the Redbirds. After his sophomore year in 2014, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 38th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. He did not sign with the Pirates and returned to Illinois State.[11][12] He was then drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2015 MLB Draft.[13]

DeJong signed with the Cardinals and made his professional debut with the Johnson City Cardinals. After 10 games he was promoted to the Peoria Chiefs.[14]

Juan Pablo González (born April 5, 1990) is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

González played in the Colorado Rockies organization from 2007 to 2013. Prior to 2014 he signed a minor league deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 2015 he began the season with the Tulsa Drillers and was later promoted to the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers. He was selected to play in the All-Star Futures Game.[16][17] Between Tulsa and Oklahoma City, he appeared in 31 games with a 2.18 ERA.[18] Prior to the 2016 season he signed with the St. Louis Cardinals.

Dean Allen Kiekhefer (born June 7, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Kiekhefer was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 37th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft out of Oldham County High School in Buckner, Kentucky. He did not sign with the Indians and played college baseball at the University of Louisville. He was then drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 36th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft. The Cardinals added him to their 40-man roster after the 2015 season.[19]

Andrew John Morales (born January 16, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Morales played college baseball at Rio Hondo College from 2011 to 2012 before transferring to UC Irvine and playing there from 2013 to 2014.[20][21] In 2014 he was named an All-American and won the Senior CLASS Award for baseball.[22] During his college career he went 42–3 with a 2.00 earned run average (ERA) and 361 strikeouts.

Morales was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the second round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft.[23] He signed with the Cardinals and made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Cardinals.[24] He was later promoted to the Palm Beach Cardinals. Morales started 2015 with the Double-A Springfield Cardinals.

Michael Livingston Ohlman (born December 14, 1990) is an American professional baseball catcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Ohlman was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 11th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft out of Lakewood Ranch High School in Bradenton, Florida.[25][26] During Spring Training 2012 he was involved in a serious car crash which injured his shoulder.[27][28] He was added to the 40-man roster on November 20, 2013.[29] He was designated for assignment on January 27, 2015 to make room on the 40-man roster for Travis Snider.[30]

On February 3, the Orioles announced they had traded to Ohlman to the Cardinals for cash considerations.[31]

Magneuris Sierra (born April 7, 1996) is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Sierra signed with the St. Louis Cardinals as an international free agent in 2012. He made his professional debut in 2013 with the Dominican Summer League Cardinals. In 2014 he played for the Gulf Coast Cardinals. He was named the Cardinals Minor League Player of the Year after hitting .386 with two home runs and a .939 OPS.[32][33] Prior to the 2016 season, Baseball America ranked him as the sixth-best prospect in the Cardinals' system.[34]

Edmundo Sosa (born March 6, 1996) is a Panamanian professional baseball shortstop in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Sosa signed with the St. Louis Cardinals as an international free agent in July 2012.[35] He made his professional debut in 2013 with the Dominican Summer League Cardinals. He played for the Gulf Coast Cardinals and State College Spikes in 2014 and the Johnson City Cardinals.[36] In 2016, Sosa played for the Panama national baseball team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic qualifiers.

Jacob Clinton Wilson (born November 14, 1990) is an American professional baseball second baseman and third baseman in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Wilson played college baseball at the University of Memphis for the Tigers from 2009 to 2012. As a senior he was the Conference USA Player of the Year after hitting .320 with 17 home runs and a 1.009 OPS.[39][40]

Wilson was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 10th round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft.[41] He signed with the Cardinals and made his professional debut with the Batavia Muckdogs. In 2013, he played for the Peoria Chiefs and Palm Beach Cardinals.[42] He started 2014 with Springfield and was then promoted to the Double-A Springfield Cardinals.[43] His season came to an end after 66 games due to a knee injury.[44]

Patrick Ian Wisdom (born August 27, 1991) is an American professional baseball third baseman in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Wisdom played college baseball at Saint Mary's College of California. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft.[45] He made his professional debut with the Batavia Muckdogs. In 2013, Wisdom played with the Peoria Chiefs and Palm Beach Cardinals. He played 2014 with the Double-A Springfield Cardinals and returned there in 2015.[46][47]

Jake R. Woodford (born October 28, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Woodford was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals 39th overall in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.[48][49] He made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Cardinals.

Woodford was high school teammates with Kyle Tucker who was also selected in the first round of the 2015 MLB Draft.[50][51]

Justin Wayne Wright (born August 18, 1989) is an American baseball relief pitcher currently in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. He is currently with the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds. He is 5' 9" tall, considered short for a professional pitcher.[52][53]

He was born in Fairfax, Virginia and attended Forest Park High School before going to Virginia Tech, where he played from 2008 to 2010. He posted a won-loss record of 19-7 while there. In the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft, the Cardinals drafted Wright in the 47th round. He began his professional career that year.

He did not allow a run and struck out 10 batters in 7.2 innings with the Batavia Muckdogs in 2010 and in 2011, he was 5-1 with five saves and a 1.03 ERA in 32 appearances between three teams. In 52.1 innings, he allowed 27 hits and had 70 strikeouts and earned Mid-Season All-Star honors and a MiLB.com Organization All-Star selection. He played for the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League that year, as well. In 2012, Wright was 0-3 with a 4.45 ERA in 50 games, though he averaged 9.5 strikeouts per nine innings. In 2013, he was 1-1 with a 5.34 mark in 50 games, but averaged 9.8 Ks per nine innings. He had his first taste of Triple-A in 2014, going 4-0 with a 6.65 ERA in 16 games for Memphis; he also played for the Springfield Cardinals that year and was 6-1 with a 3.43 ERA in 47 games as a whole. In 2015, he played for Springfield and Memphis and went 2-2 with a 3.02 ERA in 48 games.

He also pitched in the Cape Cod League in 2009 (for the Harwich Mariners) and 2010 (Hyannis Harbor Hawks).
