In 1998 after Emma ran away from the orphanage in Boston, Lily first met Emma when she spotted her eyeing a [[Pop-Tarts]] box. When Emma notices her, Lily walks out of the aisle. Realizing the girl is stealing the box, she grabs a shopping cart and covers for Emma just as the blonde is nearly frisked by a store employee. Relieved, Emma expresses gratitude, to which Lily flashes a credit card. Instructing her to use this method next time rather than stuffing stolen goods under a jacket (which is a common shoplifting trick). Emma begins leaving, but Lily suggests they team up. After buying food and exiting the store, Lily sees her father racing down the street in his car to haul her home. She escapes with Emma into an alley where they duck for cover as a van pulled up in front of her father's car. Later, they stop at a nearby lake and have a picnic with their food. Lily learns Emma is originally from a Boston group home and she ran away after realizing no one is going to adopt her. Emma assumes the man from earlier is Lily's social worker, but her new friend hides the truth. Pointing out a house across the lake, Lily explains that it's vacant during the fall season and she wants to crash there with Emma who happily agrees. Inside the house following a video game session, Emma sees a star imprint on Lily's wrist. Lily imagines the star makes herself special and she then draws a matching one on Emma's wrist. Upon finding a camera, they record themselves goofing off. Growing close, Lily and Emma promise to remain friends no matter what. Later that night, her father arrives which awakens both girls and Emma learns of Lily's lies. While sitting in a car, Lily jolts down her contact information so Emma can find her once everything blows over and they will run away together. Emma is hurt at her lies, but Lily attests everything she spoke of is real despite having a family she hates. Emma then walks away upon being lied to as Lily calls out her name.

The characters of the American fantasy-drama television series Once Upon a Time and its spin-off Once Upon a Time in Wonderland are renditions of classic fairy tale and fantasy characters.

Once Upon A Time

Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), a bail bond agent, and her son, Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) discover that a town named Storybrooke is actually a remnant of a parallel world that was cursed by the Evil Queen Regina (Lana Parrilla). The characters originate from different realms in the land, most notably the Enchanted forest. They initially have no memory of who they were, including the parents of Emma: Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), who sent her to the real world to break the curse. After the curse is broken by Emma, Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) brings magic to Storybrooke and the characters are reunited, but cannot leave without losing their original memories. Outsiders Greg Mendell and Tamara arrive in Storybrooke and carry out their quest to destroy magic from the town. After failing, the pair kidnap Henry to Neverland, leaving Emma, Mary Margaret, David, Regina, Mr. Gold and Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) to rescue him.

Upon arrival in Neverland, Rumplestiltskin's father Peter Pan obtains Henry, keeping possession of him with help from the Lost Boys. After retrieving Henry from Neverland and successfully returning to Storybrooke, Pan enacts the original curse once more that sends all the inhabitants back to their original worlds. Emma and Henry escape to New York City and have happy memories of their life together while losing their memories of Storybrooke. Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West (Rebecca Mader) begins her revenge plot against her half sister Regina, ultimating in the characters being returned to Storybrooke, and leaving Emma to again save the residents.[1] Mary Margaret and David welcome a son who they name after Henry's father Neal Cassidy (Michael Raymond-James) who sacrificed his life to defeat Zelena. However, her time travelling portal inadvertently welcomes Elsa to the town. As she searches for her sister Anna with the aid of the town's inhabitants, they encounter the Snow Queen who attempts to unite Elsa and Emma as her new "sisters" after losing her own. Meanwhile, Regina seeks the Author of Henry's book so that she can finally have her happy ending. involving Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) However, she battles Mr. Gold, Cruella de Vil, Maleficent and Ursula, who each also seek their own happiness.

Snow White is the daughter of King Leopold and Queen Eva, and later stepdaughter of the Evil Queen Regina.[4][5] She is the true love of Prince Charming, mother of Emma Swan and Neal Nolan, and later grandmother of Emma's son Henry.

As a young girl, Snow White's mother dies when Cora poisons her, in an attempt to make her daughter Regina Queen. Snow is later rescued from a runaway horse by Regina, which leads to her having a loveless marriage with Snow's father. After Regina assumes the throne by killing the King, she recruits the Huntsman to kill Snow, but he ends up sparing her for her selflessness.[6] Snow then lives in the forest, meeting Prince David while robbing him who she nicknames Charming. The pair fall in love, but he returns to his fiancée Princess Abigail,[7] though the Evil Queen holds him captive.[8] In exchange for Charming's life, Snow eats an apple from the Queen containing a sleeping curse.[9] Charming breaks free of his imprisonment and awakens her with true love's kiss. The two are later married, though the Evil Queen announces her curse to destroy their happiness. Snow gives birth to Emma and she is placed in a magical wardrobe and transported to the real world as the curse takes hold.[4]

In Storybrooke, she appears as Mary Margaret Blanchard, Henry Mills' teacher at Storybrooke Elementary School.[4] As a part-time volunteer at the General Hospital, she awakens David Nolan (Prince Charming) from his coma, and the pair gradually fall in love, despite David's marriage to Kathryn Nolan (Princess Abigail).[7] Beginning a secret relationship, the affair becomes public and David's marriage breaks down. Mary Margaret becomes an outcast in the town,[10][11][12] and is arrested for Kathryn's "murder" after fake evidence is discovered.[13] Kathryn is later found alive, though Mary Margaret's relationship with David becomes strained as he did not believe her innocence.[14] He decides to leave Storybrooke, but the two are reunited when the curse is broken, and they regain their memories.[15] The two find Emma, only for Mary Margaret to be transported with her back to the remaining Enchanted Forest through a portal, though they manage to return to Storybrooke.[16] After Regina and her mother Cora attempt to gain power by killing Mr. Gold, Mary Margaret curses Cora's heart with the same candle that Cora used to kill her mother Eva and tricks Regina into killing her. She pleads for Regina to kill her when she cannot deal with what she has done, but she instead taunts her. When Henry is kidnapped and taken to Neverland, she travels with Emma, David, Regina, Mr. Gold, and Captain Hook to rescue him.[17] Upon returning to the town with Henry, Peter Pan enacts Regina's curse again,[18] leading Mary Margaret to be returned to the Enchanted Forest with the other inhabitants, while Emma and Henry escape to New York City.[19]

Back in the Enchanted Forest, Snow learns she is pregnant but discovers that Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West wants her baby. Snow and Charming realize they must enact a new curse to return to Emma and stop Zelena. A reassuring David lets Snow crush his heart, though she later requests Regina split Snow's heart to give to both of them. A year later, Emma returns to Storybrooke, learning her mother is pregnant. Zelena plots to steal the baby by becoming her mid-wife,[20] though she is ultimately defeated and Mary Margaret gives birth to a son, whom she names after Henry's father and Rumplestiltkin's son, Neal. Mary Margaret later becomes Mayor of Storybrooke. Following the Queen's of Darkness's arrival in Storybrooke, Mary Margaret and David battle to keep their secret (being the reason Maleficent lost her child) from Emma. However, they eventually tell Emma the truth, who finds it hard to forgive them. After Mary Margaret is almost killed by Maleficent's daughter Lily, Emma reunites with her parents, although this is short lived when Emma sacrifices herself for Regina to become the new Dark One.

Evil Queen Regina Mills Lana Parrilla 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 86[21] Alive
Lana Parrilla
Queen Regina Mills is the daughter of Cora Mills[22] and Henry Mills Sr.,[23] adopted mother and great-step-grandmother of Henry Mills, and half sister of Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West.[24] She later becomes the second wife of King Leopold and step-mother of Snow White.[5]

As a young woman, Regina's mother sets up her marrying King Leopold, killing Regina's first love Daniel to prevent her running off with him.[25] Since Snow revealed to Cora Regina's attraction to Daniel, Regina vows to destroy Snow's happiness.[6] She meets Rumplestiltskin who teaches her magic and helps her send Cora through a looking glass to Wonderland. She remains unhappy in her loveless relationship, using a Genie to kill the King,[5] making her ruler of Leopold's realm, and thereafter being known as the Evil Queen.[6] It is later revealed that due to Cora's actions that she wanted her to conceive an heir, Regina drinks a potion that made her infertile. An older Snow White and Prince Charming banish Regina to take back the kingdom, though Rumplestiltskin persuades her to cast his curse by killing her father, taking everyone to the real world.[4][26]

In Storybrooke, she known as Regina Mills and is the Mayor of Storybrooke.[4] With Mr. Gold (Rumplestiltskin)'s help, she adopts a baby whom she names Henry, unaware of his relations to the Saviour, Emma.[4][26] Regina originally sends him to therapy sessions with Dr. Archie Hopper to stop his beliefs in the curse.[7] She has a sexual relationship with Sheriff Graham (the Huntsman), but crushes his heart when he breaks up with her.[6] The power struggle between Regina and Rumplestiltskin continues in Storybrooke where she is often at odds with Mr. Gold.[27][28] Initially unbeknownst to him, Regina kept Gold's true love Belle captive, after telling him she had died.[29] She tries to prevent the relationship between David Nolan (Prince Charming) and Mary Margaret Blanchard (Snow White), by implicating her in David's wife Kathryn Nolan (Princess Abigail)'s false murder.[7] When Henry's birth mother Emma Swan arrives in Storybrooke, Regina desperately seeks to remove her from his life, resorting to attempting to poison her. However, Henry willingly consumes the curse instead, dying shortly after. Emma finally believes,[9] awakening Henry with true love's kiss and breaking the curse.[15] After her mother arrives in Storybrooke, Cora convinces Regina to obtain the Dark One's dagger to gain power, though she later dies during the fight to protect Mr. Gold. Henry is then kidnapped and taken to Neverland by new arrivals Greg and Tamara, after they are stopped by Regina and Emma from destroying Storybrooke. Regina travels with Emma, Mary Margaret, David, Mr. Gold, and Captain Hook,[17] eventually managing to rescue Henry from the evil Peter Pan,[30] and return to Storybrooke.[31] However, Pan enacts Regina's curse once more,[18] forcing her to reverse the original curse returning her and the remaining inhabitants to their original worlds while Emma and Henry escape to New York City.[19]

Back in the Enchanted Forest, Regina struggles to come to terms with the loss of Henry, though Mary Margaret and Robin Hood persuade her to move forward.[20] Regina soon learns she is half-sisters with Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West. To save them from Zelena's threats, Regina helps Snow and David enact a new curse to return to Storybrooke, before Zelena adds a forgetting potion to it. With no memories of the past year, Regina faces the struggle of Henry's lost memories of her in Storybrooke until his book restores his memories and she breaks the curse with true love's kiss, restoring the residents' memories of the past year. She meanwhile forms a bond with Robin Hood, which turns romantic after she learns he is her soul mate.[32] Zelena later obtains Regina's heart as an ingredient in her scheme to change the past, though Regina uses her newly discovered light power to defeat her. After Emma and Hook are dragged into Zelena's time portal, they inadvertently return with Maid Marian, who was originally sentenced to death by Regina. To the anger of Regina, Marian, Robin, and Roland are reunited, causing a schism in her own relationship with Robin. Marian is later frozen by the Snow Queen, leading Regina to try to find a cure for her to help Robin, while removing Marian's heart to prevent the Freezing Curse from killing her. Meanwhile, Regina and Henry seek to discover the writer of his book, believing that the events depicted, are the cause of her suffering. Later on, Regina forgives Emma, after they confront an ice warrior generated by the Snow Queen. Eventually, Regina helps locate Emma, after she runs away when she loses control of her magic. After the defeat of the Snow Queen, Regina puts Marian's heart back in her, but when she realizes that remnants of the Freezing Curse still remains, she realizes that Marian, Robin Hood, and Roland have to leave Storybrooke. Regina later learns from Henry that the writer might be in Storybrooke. Regina has become mayor again, but since then her fixation have been trying to find the Author, even as going far as joining Gold, Maleficent, Ursula and Cruella De Vil in order to seek out the writer, only to be found out by Gold as a traitor. Afterwards, she is then blackmailed by Gold, who tells her that Zelena is alive and has taken Marian's place by stealing Robin Hood away from her. As a result, she has to go along with Gold's plan to make Emma become dark. Emma and Regina go on a road trip to find Lily, and save Robin from Zelena. Emma, Regina, Robin, Roland, Lily, and Zelena finally make their way back to Storybrooke. Regina locks Zelena in the mental asylum. Later Regina comes to the pawn shop to recruit the Author. Regina shows the Author the alternate page and he tells her that he needs savior darkness to make ink. Regina stabs Lily's hand to get it. Later Regina and the Author come to see Zelena. Regina tells Zelena that she's going to get the Author to erase Zelena from the book, but later decides to let Zelena live.

Prince Charming[33] David Nolan Josh Dallas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 85[34] Alive
Josh Dallas
Prince David is the true love of Snow White, as well as the father of their daughter Emma Swan and son Neal Nolan, and grandfather of Henry.

David was originally a poor shepherd whose twin brother James was given to King George as an heir in a deal with Rumplestiltskin. When James is killed in battle against the warrior Behemoth, David takes his brother's name in exchange for the prosperity of his mother Ruth's farm. King Midas declares David fit to marry his daughter Abigail and unite the kingdoms. However, David wants to marry for love, but George vows to kill his mother if he declines.[35] Before his marriage, he falls in love with Snow White, who nicknames him Charming,[7] later inviting her to run away. After continuous interceptions by George, the Evil Queen Regina captures him to convince Snow to willingly eat an apple containing a sleeping curse.[9][10] He later awakens her and the pair marry, before Regina announces that she will cast a curse to destroy their happiness. Rumplestiltskin informs them that their expected child will break the curse in 28 years. Emma is born shortly before the curse takes hold, and Charming places her in a magical wardrobe to protect her from the curse, before being wounded by the Queen's knights.[4]

In Storybrooke, he first appears as a John Doe, who has gone unidentified for years.[4] He awakens after Mary Margaret (Snow White) reads him their story. He reunites with his wife Kathryn (Princess Abigail), and is identified as David Nolan.[7] David suffers from amnesia and cannot remember his fake life with Kathryn. He falls in love with Mary Margaret and begins an affair with her,[10] ending his marriage to Kathryn, who is soon reported as being murdered[11] – a plan arranged between Regina Mills and Mr. Gold. David becomes a suspect in her disappearance, until evidence against Mary Margaret is found.[13] Kathryn is found alive, though David's relationship with Mary Margaret becomes strained, as he did not believe her innocence.[8][14] He decides to move to Boston, though the curse is broken shortly after, and he reunites with Snow and Emma.[15] David agrees to send a wraith released into Storybrooke through a portal, though Emma and Mary Margaret are dragged with it. David looks after Henry while Emma and Mary Margaret are absent.[36] After failing attempts of transportation, David falls under a sleeping curse to communicate with Mary Margaret. He is awoken by true love's kiss when the two return. When Henry is kidnapped to Neverland, David travels with Mary Margaret, Emma, Regina, Mr. Gold, and Captain Hook in order to rescue him from Peter Pan.[17] In Neverland, David is poisoned by Dreamshade,[37] though Hook partially cures him and the group successfully return to Storybrooke where Mr. Gold fully heals him.[38] After Pan enacts the original curse once more, David is returned to his original world with the remaining inhabitants, while Emma and Henry escape to New York City.[19]

Back in the Enchanted Forest, David learns that Snow is pregnant but also discovers that Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West wants their baby. The two realize they must enact a new curse to return to Storybrooke and make Emma stop Zelena. Henry Daniel Mills[41] is Emma Swan and Neal Cassidy's son, whom she gave up for adoption after giving birth soon after getting released from jail.[4][42] He is also Snow White, Prince Charming and Rumplestiltskin's grandson, and the great-grandson of the latter's father's alias Peter Pan. He is adopted by Regina Mills (the Evil Queen), who finds him through Mr. Gold (Rumplestiltskin). His first name Henry is named after Regina's father[26] and his middle is the same as Regina's lost love.

An older Henry receives his cherished book of fairy tales from his teacher Mary Margaret Blanchard (Snow White), discovering that the residents of Storybrooke are characters from it after noticing he is the only one in town who ages.[31] His realization of Regina's true identity strains his relationship with her, and she sends him to regular therapy sessions with Dr. Archie Hopper to end his belief in the curse.[26] Hoping to break the curse, Henry finds his biological mother Emma Swan in Boston and brings her to Storybrooke.[4] He eventually convinces her of the truth by consuming a sleeping curse intended for her by Regina,[43] nearly resulting in him dying. However, he is awoken with true love's kiss by Emma, which also breaks the curse.[15] Emma and Mary Margaret are then dragged into a portal, leaving David (Prince Charming) to look after him.[36] Following the death of Regina's mother Cora, and her vowing to avenge Mary Margaret, Henry seeks to remove magic from Storybrooke. When Emma and Regina stop the trigger enacted by Greg Mendell and Tamara from destroying the town, he is kidnapped by the pair and taken to Neverland, where it is revealed that Peter Pan (Henry's great-grandfather) wants possession of him as he owns "the heart of the truest believer".[17][44] Pan eventually persuades Henry to give him his heart, putting it into Pan's body, telling him it will save magic.[30] Regina reclaims the heart and resurrects Henry. However, Pan inhabits Henry's body in Storybrooke,[31] until Gold corrects the bodies. However, Pan enacts the original curse again, forcing Emma and Henry to leave Storybrooke forever. Regina erases the events following the curse's enactment, and gives the pair new happy memories. Henry's past is altered and instead of being put up for adoption, he lives with Emma in New York City.[19] A year later, Hook restores Emma's memories,[19] leading her to return to Storybrooke with both Henry and Hook to save their family.[20] With no memories, Henry is initially confused and suspicious of Emma's decision to relocate to Storybrooke, until Emma restores his memories with his book. Henry later helps Regina to search for his storybook's writer. When Emma's magic goes out of control, after being manipulated by the Snow Queen, Henry tries to help calm her down, only to end up getting injured. He joins Mary Margret, David, Regina, and the others in their hunt for Emma. After the search is over, he watched Emma's display in the sky, when the Snow Queen decides to enact the Spell of Shattered Sight. Later on, Regina seals Henry in her office, to prevent other people from hurting him when the spell engulfs Storybrooke. Henry, after the spell, shows Emma and Regina a room full of empty books in the same house that Gold and Belle had their honeymoon at.

Henry later realises he is the new Author, after being drawn into an alternative universe by the previous author Isaac, as he tried to reverse the destiny of the characters. Henry decides that the power is too much, breaking the quill that control's the book, in half.

Rumplestiltskin is then tricked by Zoso and eventually becomes the Dark One. Rumplestiltskin kills Milah and cuts off Killians' hand, making him Captain Hook. He prevents his son Baelfire being forced to join the wars,[27] though Bae wants rid of his powers, creating a portal to transport them to a world without magic. Rumplestiltskin fears losing his powers, leaving Bae to cross over alone; he vows to find his son.[14] He trains Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West, until she becomes jealous of his continued teaching of her half-sister, the Evil Queen Regina, who he chooses to cast his curse. As part of a deal to save her town, Belle becomes the caretaker of his estate and the two form a romantic bond until Rumplestiltskin forces her to leave forever, mistaking her for working with Regina, who later claims that Belle committed suicide. Soon afterwards, Prince Charming and Snow White use squid ink to immobilize, and placed him into a magical jail.[28] Regina enacts his curse, and he requests that she give him a place of comfort in the "new world" that they will be sent to.[26]

Gold eventually creates a potion to leave and tracks Bae to Manhattan, learning he is Neal Cassidy, Henry's father.[47] Gold begins to die after he is poisoned by Hook with Dreamshade and the group return to Storybrooke, where Mary Margaret heals him by reluctantly cursing Cora's heart. When Henry is kidnapped to Neverland, Gold travels with Emma, her parents, Regina and Hook to rescue him from his father's plot to steal Henry's heart.[17] Returning to Storybrooke, Pan attempts to kill his loved ones, though Gold uses his dagger to sacrifice both himself and his father.[19] However, Pan's curse is enacted, and when Regina destroys her curse to end Pan's curse, the inhabitants are returned to the Enchanted Forest.

Neal and Belle travel to Rumplestiltskin's castle and are located to the Dark One's vault where Neal resurrects Rumplestiltskin but kills himself. Before he dies, Rumplestiltskin merges Neal's body with his own. When Snow White and Prince Charming enact a curse to stop Zelena, Mr. Gold is returned to Storybrooke under Zelena's control. Emma later finds him, only to find that Neal is trapped within him, thus causing Gold to lose his mind. Neal asks for Emma to free Gold to defeat Zelena, though he will die; she reluctantly agrees.[48] Mr. Gold proposes to Belle, also giving her his dagger. Unknown to her, it is a fake, and Gold uses the original to kill Zelena. He later marries Belle with her father's blessing, secretly returning the real dagger to Belle. Gold soon discovers the Sorcerer Merlin's magical hat in Storybrooke and once again defies Belle to take back the original blade. Attempting to cleave himself from his dagger and have ultimate power and control by killing Hook, Belle stops him and banishes him from the town. Gold finds Ursula and Cruella and enlists them to help in returning to Storybrooke, later teaming with Maleficent to find the Author of Henry's book and retrieve their own happy endings at the expense of Emma who's savior status must be removed. As Mr. Gold's darkened heart affliction worsens, he uses the Author to create an alternate universe in which villains get there happy endings. However, Henry undoes Isaac's work, and Belle finds an unconscious Mr. Gold back in Storybrooke. The Apprentice removes the Dark One's powers from Gold's heart and keeps him in a preservation spell. The darkness is then taken in by Emma, who becomes the new Dark One.

He is considered by the Evil Queen Regina the perfect assassin, and is hired to kill Snow White, though he spares her for selflessness. When he offers the Queen a stag's heart instead, she realizes she has been tricked and tears out the Huntsman's heart, keeping it in her vault and using it to make him her slave.[6] When Prince Charming is led to his execution, the Huntsman helps him escape. Pinocchio is a puppet that Geppetto carved from an enchanted tree. As a boy, he gives his life to save Geppetto from drowning, though the Blue Fairy restores him into a real boy, promising that the spell will hold if he is selfless, brave and truthful. Later, the Blue Fairy asks Geppetto to form a magical wardrobe to save the pregnant Snow White and Prince Charming from the Evil Queen's curse. However, the curse will send the inhabitants to a land without magic, and Pinocchio would be at risk of being transformed back into a puppet. Snow gives birth to Emma and Geppetto sends his son through the wardrobe, telling him to protect the child and get her to break the curse. After transporting, Pinocchio finds Emma, and they live in an orphanage until he leaves Emma to run away with other members of the home.[53]

Seventeen years later, Pinocchio (under the alias of August Wayne Booth) travels to Portland and confronts Neal Cassidy, a thief who falls in love with an older Emma. He convinces him to leave Emma to allow her to fulfill her destiny. After Emma is arrested for possession of stolen items, he informs Neal of Emma's sentencing and later when the curse is broken.[36] August enters Storybrooke upon Emma's arrival to the town,[42] attempting to convince her of the curse's reality.[8] He informs Mr. Gold (Rumplestiltskin) and Emma that he is deathly ill and needs magic, though her denial refuses to see his condition.[53] When Emma realizes the curse's reality, she visits August for help, though he completely turns to wood.[15] After the curse is broken, Mary Margaret finds August hiding in the woods, ashamed of the mistakes that he has made. He is later found by Tamara and offered a potion that will keep him human forever if he leaves Storybrooke. Upon realizing that Tamara intends to bring harm to the Storybrooke citizens, August attempts to warn Emma, but is fatally wounded by Tamara. However, it is determined that August's actions were selfless, brave, and true and Mother Superior (the Blue Fairy) restores him to his original form of a seven-year-old Pinocchio.[54]

After Regina puts a sleeping spell on Pinocchio so that she and Maleficent can find out about the Author of the "Once Upon a Time" book at Mr. Gold's cabin, Mr. Gold uses his magic to age Pinocchio back into August. Using a temporary spell that Mr. Gold took from the fairies, he reactivated August's built-in lie detector to ask him about the Author. August told Mr. Gold the truth while describing the door that the Author is behind. Cruella De Vil was left to guard August. After August was freed and Ursula leaves with her father King Poseidon, August recuperates at Emma's apartment where he was brushed up on Regina being Mary Margaret's mole in finding out Mr. Gold's plan. August told Emma how he told Mr. Gold everything and that he didn't tell him that the door in question is in Henry's possession, as the author was actually trapped in the book. He also mentions that the door in the "Once Upon a Time" book is where the Sorcerer placed the Author, only to later reveal that there were others before the current one. Before Emma unlocks the book, he warns her to be careful, as the author had manipulated the stories for his own enjoyment.

Instead, she ran into the Mirror of Shattered Sight, which caused her to feel that she was responsible for Anna's disappearance, and believe that Rumplestiltskin only married her because he could manipulate her, and that her dagger was a fake. The enchantment causes her to lash out and cut Rumplestiltskin when he tries to get her away from the mirror, and when he teleports them back to his shop, she apologizes for losing trust in him, and promises never to use the dagger on him again. When Ingrid, the Snow Queen, freezes the police station's door shut to keep the others from warning Emma of her scheme, she convinced Rumplestiltskin to go help out. Then, Rumplestiltskin locks Belle inside of his shop, to prevent others from getting to her when the spell hits. After the Spell of Shattered Sight is ended, Belle learns that the dagger she has, is a fake and she uses the real one to force her husband, Mr. Gold, to leave Storybrooke. After Henry undoes Isaac's work, Belle finds Mr. Gold's body on the ground as he tells her to get far away with Will. Belle tells Mr. Gold that she isn't in love with Will as she informs the others of Mr. Gold's condition which led the Apprentice to make an attempt to seal the Dark One's powers in the Sorcerer's Hat to save Mr. Gold's life. When the Dark One's powers escaped from the Sorcerer's Hat, Belle witnessed the Dark One's powers attack the Apprentice.

When the Dark Curse is activated, Cora protects them both and part of the Enchanted Forest with a barrier spell, frozen in time for 28 years.[60]

After this time period, Hook follows Emma and Mary Margaret to Storybrooke with Cora, through a magic bean obtained by Hook.[60] When Mr. Gold (Rumplestiltskin) finds a way to leave Storybrooke without losing his memories, Hook shoots his love Belle, causing her to fall across the town's border and lose her memory again. After Gold travels to Manhattan to locate Baelfire, Hook poisons him, but is captured by Neal Cassidy (Baelfire)'s fiancé Tamara, to be used in her and Greg Mendell's plot to destroy magic in Storybrooke. He originally leaves Storybrooke with a stolen magic bean for himself, but returns to help Emma, Mary Margaret, David, Regina, and Mr. Gold travel to Neverland with his ship, after Henry Mills is transported there.[17] In Neverland, Hook becomes the group's guide for directions,[38] and they retrieve Henry from the sinister Peter Pan and journey back to Storybrooke,[31] where Pan enacts the original curse again. When he threatened to tell Belle and later Emma about using the knife, Gold in turn threatened Hook into doing his bidding by vowing to reveal Hook's dark side again, and later on while attempting to save Emma from Gold's plan to strip her of her powers, loses his heart to Gold, making Hook his puppet to use him to get what he wants. Soon afterwards, Gold tasks Hook with using the hat to drain the Fairies' magic, in order to kill the cure for the Spell of Shattered Sight, and to obtain enough power to free himself from the Dagger of Kris. Hook reluctantly agrees to the task, since Gold has his heart, and traps the fairies in the hat after Gold convinces Belle to leave Granny's Diner. When Emma and Elsa later arrive with Anna and Kristoff, Hook hides behind the counter, leading them to believe that the Fairies had been dealt with by the Snow Queen. With his job complete, Hook gives the hat to Gold, who tells him to enjoy the last day of his life wherever he wants, because when Gold completes his final preparations by the next morning, he will kill Hook. When the Spell of Shattered Sight was close to engulfing Storybrooke, Hook visits Emma one last time to say goodbye to her, before leaving to chain himself to a dock at the marina. When the Spell of Shattered Sight finally hits, Hook looks on as thunder rumbles and mirror shards rain from the sky. After the Spell of Shattered Sight was ended, Gold tried to kill Hook to free himself from his dagger, only to be stopped by Belle. Emma later restores Hook's heart to his body.

Six months later, Hook has appears to have become good friends with Belle and is helping her to free the fairies. After the Queens of Darkness and Rumpelstiltskin come to Storybrooke, Hook becomes worried about something happening to Emma, as he believes he is a villain and is therefor unable to get a happy ending, and she is his happy ending. After being informed of Golds plan to turn Emma to darkness, Hook vows to protect the woman he loves, no matter what.

Robin is then forced into making a deal with Rumplestiltskin to retrieve an elixir from Oz, but returns instead with a pendant for his future wife Marian. Robin would then become the prince of thieves after his friends turn the tables on the Sheriff and return the money to the townspeople.

In his earlier history, Will Scarlet was a part of Robin Hood's group where Will took him to raid an abandoned castle that was used as Maleficent's retreat. After it was discovered that someone had stolen a looking glass from Maleficent's retreat and her voice is heard that their campfire, Robin Hood asks who disobeyed his orders by taking one of Maleficent's items. When Robin Hood discovers that Will was behind the theft the next morning upon his departure, Robin Hood tells Will that he hopes his luck will last. The two later meet in Oz, where Robin's portal landed on a guard and helps free Will. Robin then obtains an elixir and a pendant, and escaped before Zelena captures him. He then gives the elixir to Will before returning to Sherwood Forest.

After a pregnant Marian falls ill, he breaks into Rumplestiltskin's castle to steal a magic wand. Rumplestiltskin catches and tortures Robin with the intention of killing him, though Belle frees him.[64] After Regina loses her love Daniel, Tinker Bell leads her to Robin Hood, claiming he is her true love. However, Regina is scared to love again and refuses to meet him. Marian is later killed by Regina (now the Evil Queen) for supporting Snow White, leaving Robin to raise Roland alone.

Whilst looking for a globe belonging to Rumplestiltskin, Neal and Mulan encounter Robin Hood in Rumplestiltskin's castle. He reluctantly uses Roland as bait to call Peter Pan's shadow to allow Neal to travel to Neverland. When Peter Pan's curse takes everyone from Storybrooke back to their original worlds, he rescues Regina and Mary Margaret in the Enchanted Forest from a flying monkey. He later offers them shelter as they plan to take back their castle from Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West.[20] He gradually forms a bond with Regina, and after Snow and Charming reluctantly enact a curse to save their baby from Zelena, Robin is sent to Storybrooke with no memories of the past year. He again likens to Regina who gives him her heart to hide from Zelena after she learns he is her soulmate. The two later begin a romantic relationship. However, this relationship is shattered after Emma, who traveled to the past with Captain Hook, unintentionally saved Marian before she could be executed by Regina and brought her back to the present. Robin Hood and Roland are reunited with Maid Marian which hurts Regina. Robin decides return to Marian, leaving Regina on a quest to remove her. Ironically, when Marian is hit with a freezing spell caused by the Ice Queen, Ingird, Regina is called by Robin Hood to help save her. He tries to save Marian, with true love's kiss, but it doesn't work. Robin Hood confessed that it didn't work because he is in love with Regina. Upon agreeing with Robin Hood, Regina and Henry had to remove Maid Marian's heart until Regina can find another way to unfreeze her. While Marian is frozen, Robin tries to remain faithful, but his love for Regina over powers him. Robin Hood later encountered Will Scarlet again at Granny's diner. The two of them have a discussion, and Will says to Robin if you find true love, you must fight for it every day, and after hearing that, his feelings for Regina take hold, and he finds Regina in her vault, and the two share a night of passion.

After Robin and Regina reunite, Regina tells Robin of her quest to find the author of Henry's book because she believes the author is causing her unhappy ending. Robin then finds Will Scarlett again, and the two end up investigating in the Storybrooke Library. There Robin finds a missing or alternate page of Henry's book, which indicates that Regina has a bright future behind every turn. Later on, When Ingrid's spell is broken, Robin is reunited with Marian, who was aware that of his love for Regina, and she gives her blessing for Regina and Robin to be together. Robin chooses to be with Regina, however, Marian begins to faint due to the remnants of the freezing spell in her heart that would cause her to die if she did not leave Storybrooke, Regina tells Robin that he has to take Marian over the town line to save her life. Unfortunately, the town line had a curse, if anyone crosses it, they can't come back. Regina informs Robin and that he must take Marian and Roland out of Storybrooke and into our world but they won't be able to come back due to the curse. Before he leaves, Robin become emotional and kisses Regina one last time. Regina later has a dream that she reunites with Robin Hood until her Evil Queen side shows up and starts to attack. Before it can be shown what the Evil Queen was attacking, Regina woke up.

When Robin Hood arrived in New York City with his family, he is confronted by an exiled Gold, who wanted them out of his son's apartment. After Gold has a heart attack scare, he enlist Robin to retrieve the elixir that was hidden at Walsh's furniture store and succeeds. Unfortunately, after that task was completed, Gold allowed Robin and his family to live in Neal's apartment, only to have Gold learn that Zelena has taken Marian's place, having killed her by using the pendant that Robin gave Marian back in the Enchanted Forest. Gold did not tell Robin about what actually happened to Marian, but knowing that his heart is still with Regina, he told him to pursue whoever he feels for. Robin, believing that he wants to make him marriage work, deletes Regina's number, delighting an unsuspecting Zelena, who also wanted Robin for herself and to ruin Regina's happiness.

When Emma, Regina, and Lily confront Robin Hood and Zelena, Regina mentioned to Robin Hood what actually happened to Maid Marian. Even though Robin Hood is aware of what happened, he can't leave Zelena because she is pregnant. Regina was able to bring both of them and Roland back to Storybrooke where Zelena was remanded to the psychiatric ward of Storybrooke General Hospital. Robin Hood visited the psychiatric ward at the time when Regina decides to spare Zelena. After Henry had undid Isaac's work, Regina visited Robin Hood at the diner telling him that Zelena is still in the psychiatric ward.

Zelena/Wicked Witch of the West Rebecca Mader 5 3, 4 15[65] Alive
Rebecca Mader
Zelena is the daughter of Cora and half-sister of Regina. As a young woman, a man named Jonathan claiming to be a Prince proposes to Cora. The two conceive Zelena, though Cora discovers Jonathan's fake identity, sending Zelena away to Oz, to become a royal. As a young woman, her adopted father becomes frustrated at her magical powers and reveals she is adopted. She visits the Wizard of Oz who tells her of her back story and of Regina who was favored over her to be Queen. Zelena is transported to the Enchanted Forest, where Rumplestiltskin trains her after she reveals her relations. However, she becomes envious when he continues teaching Regina magic. Zelena returns to Oz without him, disappointed that he would choose Regina over her to enact his curse. There, she adopts her new green skin triggered by her jealousy.[32] Glinda the Good Witch takes her to her "sisters" of the East and North, speaking of her supposed destiny as the savior of Oz and giving her a pendant to harness her magic. However, upon the arrival of Dorothy Gale, Zelena again becomes envious, tricking her into returning to Kansas, while banishing Glinda to the Enchanted Forest.

Later known as the Wicked Witch of the West, she overtakes Regina's castle, following Peter Pan's curse that returns Storybrooke's residents to the Enchanted Forest. Regina learns of their relations, while Zelena tricks Neal into resurrecting Rumplestiltskin, sacrificing himself. After merging his son's body with his own, Rumplestiltskin becomes insane, manipulated by Zelena with his dagger. After Zelena threatens Snow and Charming's baby, they learn from Glinda that light magic will defeat Zelena. Believing Emma to be the key, they cast a new curse to take them to Storybrooke. Charming sacrifices his heart to Snow, but Zelena adds a forgetting potion to the curse, removing the characters' memories of the past year.

In Storybrooke, Zelena appears as a midwife who befriends Mary Margaret, scheming to get closer to her unborn baby while holding Mr. Gold prisoner.[66] Emma later finds Gold, discovering that Neal is trapped within him. Neal asks Emma to free Gold in order to defeat Zelena, though he will die; she reluctantly agrees.[48] Zelena later curses Captain Hook to remove Emma's powers. Belle learns that Zelena needs four ingredients (David's courage, Regina's heart, Rumplestiltskin's brain, and David and Mary Margaret's newborn son)[39] to enact a time-travelling spell to travel to the past. She successfully obtains different forms of the items, though Regina uses her newly discovered light magic to defeat her. She spares her life, giving Zelena a second chance. However, Rumplestiltskin avenges Neal by stabbing Zelena with his dagger, shattering her into pieces. Shortly afterwards, Zelena's magic within her pendant enacts the time-travel spell, opening the portal which Emma and Hook fall through. Sending them back to the Enchanted Forest of the past, Emma reclaims her magic and re-opens a portal back to present-day Storybrooke.

It was later discovered that Zelena's soul actually went back in time where she managed to revive herself and that Zelena assumed Maid Marian's place upon making her fatally vanish. This way, she can resume making Regina Mills suffer. She even played a trick where she swapped out the Elixir of the Wounded Heart without Robin Hood noticing at the time when Mr. Gold was in the hospital. Zelena later told Mr. Gold her plan to steal Robin Hood's heart so that she can make Robin Hood fall in love. In order to get to the Author, Zelena convinces Mr. Gold to spare her life in exchange for giving him the Elixir of the Wounded Heart. Robin Hood is unaware that Zelena is posing as Maid Marian. Nine weeks later, Regina is shocked to learn that Zelena is alive when she answers Robin Hood's phone. Before hanging up, Zelena states to Regina that they will see each other again soon. After the call, Mr. Gold states to Regina that he and Zelena have come to an understanding and will have Zelena kill Robin Hood if Regina doesn't cooperate with him.

When Emma, Regina, and Lily confront Robin Hood and Zelena, Regina mentioned to Robin Hood what actually happened to Maid Marian. Even though Robin Hood is aware of what happened, he can't leave Zelena because she is pregnant. Upon the return to Storybrooke, Zelena is locked up in the psychiatric ward of the Storybrooke General Hospital for Regina. Upon obtaining Lily's blood for the Magic Ink, Regina and Isaac visit Zelena's cell at the Storybrooke General Hospital and states that she plans to write an ending for Zelena. Regina then plans to have Zelena written out the story as Zelena claims that she has gotten to know about Cora. As the Magic Ink is drying, Regina tells Zelena that Cora wasn't a better mother as Robin Hood comes in. Regina decides to spare Zelena only for Isaac to write his rendezvous with Mr. Gold. After Henry undoes Isaac's work, Regina tells Robin Hood that Zelena is still in the psychiatric ward.

From what Regina said when she spared Zelena's life, Zelena will be allowed to have her baby, but it will cared for by Robin and Regina. In addition, Zelena will have to abide by strict visitation rules.

Keegan Connor Tracy
The Blue Fairy, or Reul Ghorm[14] is a high-ranking fairy godmother who uses her magic to help others. She was a teacher to Tinker Bell (the Green Fairy), until she stopped believing in her due to her rule-breaking.[76] While she is quite powerful, she is unable to undo Rumplestiltskin's magic. To help fix a problem created by his magic, she transforms Jiminy into a cricket and guides him to help Geppetto.[46] She also transforms the puppet Pinocchio into a real boy, and creates a quill that temporarily immobilizes Rumplestiltskin, aiding in his imprisonment.[28] Rumplestiltskin is hostile towards her and other fairies, blaming her for the disappearance of his son Baelfire.[14] The Blue Fairy presents the idea of fashioning a wardrobe from a magical tree to save Emma and Pinocchio from the Evil Queen Regina's curse by sending them to the new world.[4]

In Storybrooke, she is Mother Superior of the town's nuns, who were all fairies prior to the curse. When the curse is broken, Henry requests she use magic to restore order in Storybrooke, but she is unable to without her wand or fairy dust.[36] When August Booth (Pinocchio) is murdered by Tamara, she restores him to a seven-year old real boy.[54]

Following the successful mission to rescue Henry from Neverland, the town's heroes return to Storybrooke. As Victor attempts to bring Gerhardt back to life, electricity cannot revive him, so Rumplestiltskin instead offers a heart from the Enchanted Forest. While at the ball, Cora claims to King Xavier that she can spin straw into gold who states that if she can, she can marry his son Prince Henry, but if not, she will be killed. She is then approached by Rumplestiltskin who states that he will teach her magic if she gives him her first born child. She agrees and accepts Henry's hand in marriage. Rumplestiltskin then changes his deal to claim whatever child Cora suggests to him. She plans to run away with him but chooses power over love, ripping her own heart, marrying Henry, and later giving birth to Regina.[96]

As an older woman, Cora is a controlling mother towards Regina, wanting her to achieve a high status in life. When Regina blossoms into a young woman of marriageable age, Cora resolves to set into motion a series of pre-planned events that will lead her daughter into being crowned a Queen. She poisons the current queen, Eva, to make the Queen's seat vacant. Eva's only daughter, Snow White, is desperate for a way to save her dying mother from the illness and goes to seek out the Blue Fairy. Cora cloaks herself as the Blue Fairy to advise her to use a magic candle to take away the life of another person in order to save Eva. Ultimately, Snow White can't bear to go through with it, and Eva succumbs to death shortly after. After Eva's mourning ceremony, Cora approaches to have a look at her nemesis' body. She promises to destroy her legacy and make Snow White's heart as black as coal. She then causes a young Snow's horse to become wild and rush towards a river, knowing that Regina would save her. Cora uses this opportunity to arrange a marriage between Regina and Snow's father King Leopold. However, Regina is in love with the stable boy Daniel, a secret that Snow innocently informs Cora of. Cora soon kills him, because such love would ruin her plans for Regina.[25] Rumplestiltskin later helps Regina send Cora to another realm via a magical mirror.[16]

Cora is sent to Wonderland where she rises to power and fulfills her wish to become a royal as she becomes to be known as the Queen of Hearts. She later receives an invitation to the upcoming wedding of the Red King where she meets the soon-to-be Red Queen, Anastasia. Seeing Anastasia's likeness to herself, as Cora came from humble beginnings as well, she offers to teach her magic without the Red King's knowledge, since she knows the Red King dislikes magic as he believes it separates them from their subjects, however Anastasia declines, not wishing to start a marriage with a secret, to which Cora departs, or so it appears as she eavesdrops on a conversation the future Queen has with a former beau and Anastasia's true love, Will. For her own reasons Cora sabotages any reconciliation between the two lovers by telling Will that Anastasia decided to marry the Red King. Heartbroken Will requested the Queen of Hearts to take out his heart which she did after warning him of the consequences. Will then becomes the Knave of Hearts in the Queen of Hearts' army. Cora then stops Anastasia from leaving the castle for her sweetheart by giving the girl a glimpse at the wagon where Will is nowhere in sight. She manipulates Anastasia into believing all hope of regaining Will's trust and love is forever lost, and that her place is as a Queen. Cora then begins teaching Anastasia the use of magic, bringing Anastasia more fully under its corrupting power which will eventually turn her into a cold-hearted, simpering and power-hungry queen.

Cora later visited Regina with the help of the White Rabbit and offers to help her get hooked up with the man that Tinker Bell described. Upon being unable to find Robin Hood, she tried to have the Sheriff of Nottingham pose as him until Regina found that the lion tattoo was fake. Cora later teleported the Sheriff of Nottingham out of the prison as Regina gets even with Cora by drinking a potion that would prevent her from giving birth as a way to keep Cora from manipulating that child.

Cora later kidnaps her husband Henry and shrinks him in size while trapping him in one of the boxes in a vault. Regina comes to rescue her father with the help of a portal-jumper, Jefferson, by using a magic hat to travel between worlds. They steal back Henry, but Regina paralyzes Jefferson so he is left behind while she and her father return to the Enchanted Forest. He is captured by the guards and brought before the audience of the Queen of Hearts. While her face is completely obscured, she does not directly speak to him, and instead talks into a tube for the Knave of Hearts to communicate her messages to Jefferson. She is extremely displeased that he helped Regina steal from her. When Jefferson calls Regina "the Queen", Cora cuts him off with a stomp, prompting the Knave of Hearts to ask him to refrain from referring to that woman by such a name. When questioned about how he came to Wonderland, Jefferson doesn't answer, and instead asks if it's possible for him to go home to his daughter after he tells them. Annoyed at his response, she orders for his head to be taken off. Only after losing his body, yet still being alive, Jefferson confesses that his hat brought him to Wonderland, but Regina took it away. On behalf of Cora, the Knave of Hearts commands him to make another hat so he can leave this world for his homeland.

Later, Regina requests Hook's assistance to kill her mother, by taking out her heart and in return, he'll be able to get his revenge on Rumplestiltskin once the Dark Curse is cast. Before he goes, Regina enchants his hook with the ability to remove a heart. She also requires that her mother's corpse be returned to the Enchanted Forest, so she sends a dead soldier with him. Via Jefferson's magic hat, he ends up in Cora's palace in Wonderland. Once again, she does not show her face, hiding it with a mask, and uses the long tube to ask questions while the Knave of Hearts announces them for the pirate to answer. She wants to know why he is in Wonderland. He confirms to be looking for a woman by the name of Cora. Lowering her mask, Cora remarks that in this land, she goes by "Your Majesty", and then dismisses all her subjects so the two of them can be alone. After learning the pirate's name is Hook, she notices he has a corpse of dead man with him. Based on the rules of the portal-jumping hat, he is obviously going to take someone else back. Hook moves to tear out her heart, but nothing happens. Cora scoffs at his failed attempt since the heart is not in her chest. She plunges her hand to grab hold of Hook's heart, threatening to pull it out, unless he tells her who sent him. As he gasps in pain, Hook admits the Evil Queen wants her dead. Momentarily, Cora is fazed by the news, but forces him to tell her everything. After he is done, she lets go and returns to sit upon her throne. Cora orders Hook to aide her in returning to the Enchanted Forest, but wants his full and willing cooperation as she can give him what he desire most—Rumplestiltskin's life. She informs him of the ramifications of her daughter's curse will bring everyone to a new land, but everyone affected will lose their memories. Cora promises to allow Hook the opportunity to kill Rumplestiltskin and also keep his memories intact. Hook returns to the Enchanted Forest with Cora's body, leaving Anastasia to rule the entire realm. She feigns being dead; intending to get close enough to Regina to rip out her heart as payback for the attempted assassination. However, Cora has a change of heart when Regina sadly professes that there was no choice to but do away with her mother as she is one of her weaknesses. She recalls what Cora taught her, that love is weakness, and therefore, Regina wants to leave this emotion behind before going to the new land. She places a rose on Cora's chest and then leaves to cast the Dark Curse. Directly after, Cora recognizes her daughter still loves her, and instead she and Hook travel to an island as the curse is spreading. Once there, she casts a barrier to protect the inhabitants on corner of the island, as well as themselves, from being affected by the curse. Cora informs Hook that they will both be frozen for the next twenty-eight years until the savior breaks the curse and frees them. When the time comes, she plans to go to Regina in her greatest moment of need.[60]

After the curse is broken, and Mary Margaret (Snow White) and her daughter Emma Swan are transported to the Enchanted Forest, they encounter Cora.[16] Cora learns that Regina and her adoptive son Henry are in Storybrooke, and retrieves a magical bean, following the two back to Storybrooke with Hook.[60] Cora impersonates Regina to supposedly kill Archie Hopper (Jiminy Cricket), thus causing Regina to lose Henry. She then turns a rehabilitating Regina back to evil by playing on her love for him. She seeks out the Dark One's dagger to kill their enemies,[96] though Regina returns her heart which, unbeknownst to her, has been poisoned by Mary Margaret with the same candle that Cora poisoned Snow's mother with. Upon possessing her heart, she loves Regina truly, until she dies in her arms.[96]

Cora is later summoned as a ghost by Regina in an attempt to discover the truth behind her giving away Zelena. Cora instead possesses Mary Margaret allowing her to see her mother's dark past. Regina removes Cora's ghost from Mary Margaret's body and returns her to the spirit world.

William Smee Unknown Chris Gauthier 2, 3, 4 9[101] Alive
William Smee is a man capable of procuring objects that are hard to find. In the Enchanted Forest, he makes a deal with Rumplestiltskin in order to get his life extended; Smee trades him a magic bean for his age reversal. Captain Hook manages to intervene and kidnaps Smee to obtain the magic bean, later appointing him as a crewman on his ship, the Jolly Roger. Hook uses the bean to create a portal that takes the ship to Neverland where he and his crew will never age.[102] In Neverland, Smee serves as an adviser to Hook, assisting in his murderous aspirations to kill Rumplestiltskin and to raise the newly arrived Baelfire.

In Storybrooke, Smee appears as a homeless man who kidnaps Belle under the orders of her father Moe French (Sir Maurice).[102] Mr. Gold later uses him as an experiment for his spell that would enable anyone to cross the border to Storybrooke without losing their memories. When Hook arrives in Storybrooke, Smee immediately begins following orders, retrieving Mr. Gold's most prized possession: Baelfire's shawl. In retaliation, Gold turns Smee into a rat. After Peter Pan enacts the original curse again, Smee (now in human form), along with the other inhabitants, are consumed and returned to their original worlds. Back in the Enchanted Forest, Smee mentions to Captain Hook that he still has some side effects of being turned into a rat.[19] When Snow White and Prince Charming enact a new curse, as part of their plan to stop Zelena, Smee is sent back to Storybrooke.

Owen enjoys Regina's company. However, this only leads her trying to keep him and his father in Storybrooke. Owen escapes after Kurt is falsely arrested by Regina, vowing to return to his father.[104]

Almost three decades later, a man crashes his car into Storybrooke. His name is later revealed to be Greg Mendell, an alias of Owen whose name is a reference to the geneticist Gregor Mendel.[105] When Greg is brought to the hospital, the residents debate whether to save his life and risk the truth of Storybrooke being revealed to the outside world. He is ultimately saved, and remains in the town to investigate the strange happenings of Storybrooke. Regina eventually learns of Greg's identity, telling him to leave the town. Greg ignores her, as it is revealed he is in alliance with Neal Cassidy's fiancée, Tamara.[54] The two kidnap Regina and torture her to reveal his father's whereabouts. She eventually tells him that she killed his father. A hurt Greg plans to kill Regina but escapes when David Nolan (Prince Charming) tracks him down. Greg and Tamara later obtain a trigger to obliterate Storybrooke, though it is foiled.[9] The two instead kidnap Henry Mills, travelling to Neverland, though upon arrival, they realize that they had been fooled. When confronted by the Lost Boys, the pair refuse to hand Henry to them, causing Peter Pan's Shadow to rip out Greg's shadow from his body, killing him instantly.[17][44]

Tamara Sonequa Martin-Green 2, 3 7[106] Deceased
Sonequa Martin-Green
Tamara is a woman determined to remove magic from the world seeing it as unholy. Her quest begins in Hong Kong, where she visits a self-proclaimed healer called the Dragon claiming to have cancer. There, she meets August Booth (Pinocchio), who also seeks the healer as he is gradually turning to wood. Tamara later follows August to New York City where she begins a scheme to learn about Storybrooke. She befriends Neal Cassidy (Baelfire), eventually becoming an engaged couple. Tamara is invited to Storybrooke by Neal who informs her of his magical background. She finds a completely wooden August, offering to give him a cure if he leaves Storybrooke forever. He is later resurrected to his child self, though unable to identify who attacked him. Tamara is later shown to be in a romantic alliance with Greg Mendell, a stranger who crashed into the town and who also wants to destroy magic.[54] Tamara and Greg are instructed by the "Home Office" to send them magical objects, including magic beans and a "trigger" which can self-destruct Storybrooke. After Emma becomes suspicious of the pair, Tamara reveals her deception, shooting Neal and sending him through a portal, before fleeing.[9] Tamara and Greg activate the trigger but are foiled, instead kidnapping Henry and travelling through a portal to Neverland.[17] However, they soon realize that they are being fooled. When confronted by the Lost Boys (the real "Home Office") the pair refuse to hand Henry to them. After the Shadow rips out Greg's shadow, Tamara is hit by an arrow. Mr. Gold finds Tamara and heals her on order to find the location of Henry. After Tamara asks for forgiveness for attacking his son, Mr. Gold kills Tamara by crushing her heart.[44]

Maid Marian Christie Laing 2, 3, 4 8 Deceased
Christie Laing
Maid Marian is the target for the affection of the Sheriff of Nottingham. She runs away with Robin Hood after falling in love with him. Sometime later, Marian is pregnant and falls ill, causing Robin Hood to obtain a magic wand from Rumplestiltskin's castle to heal her. After successfully curing her, Rumplestiltskin takes Belle to witness him killing Hood for stealing from him. However, after seeing the restored Marian and realizing her pregnancy, Belle begs Rumplestiltskin not to kill him, or else the child would become fatherless. Rumplestiltskin purposely misses shooting him, alarming the pair to escape the woods.[64] Marian later gives birth to a son named Roland, though she ends up wanted by the Evil Queen and is sentenced to death.

After Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West opens a time-travel portal, Emma and Hook are dragged into it and sent to the Enchanted Forest of the past. Emma decides to rescue Marian (though she does not know her identity) and the two take her back to present day Storybrooke. Marian is reunited with Robin and Roland, to a hurt and angered Regina, whom Robin had been in a relationship with. Marian is extremely hostile towards Regina, disbelieving her reformation. However, Regina saves Marian's life after she comes under attack by a snow monster in Storybrooke. Marian later falls under a frozen spell after the Snow Queen places a spell on her ice cream cone. In order to keep Marian alive, Regina removes her heart and Henry places it in a container, until Regina can find a way to unfreeze her. However, it seems fate/time, is trying to mop up mistakes; Robin and Regina found an alternate page of Once Upon a Time that showed them falling in love before Robin became the thief he is, when she actually never met him then.

After Ingrid's spell is broken, Marian is unfrozen. It is soon discovered that the remnants from the frozen curse continues as the spell could kill Marian's heart. As a result of this, Regina tells Robin that she has to leave Storybrooke to live in our world, where magic on her cursed heart will not have any effect on her. Marian, along with Robin and Roland, leave Storybrooke to start a new life.

It has since been discovered that Maid Marian is actually the Wicked Witch of the West in disguise, the real Marian having been killed by Zelena herself (who used a spell to make Maid Marian's body fatally vanish) after Emma and Hook rescued her from the Evil Queen and knocked the real Marian out so they can take her back to Storybrooke. Robin Hood was unaware off this until Regina revealed the truth.

He leads the group into searching Captain Hook's ship for Baelfire, whom he eventually finds and delivers to Peter Pan, though he is not the boy wanted: Henry Mills.[17] When Neal arrives in Neverland to save his son Henry, Felix captures him until being knocked out after he breaks free. Upon his capture of the group from Storybrooke, Felix is taken to the town and placed in jail, until Peter Pan (who has inhabited Henry's body) breaks him free, explaining his plot to make the town "The New Neverland" with possession of the original dark curse.[18] However, Pan reveals he needs the heart of the thing he loves most to enact it. As Felix was the most loyal to him, Pan uses his heart to enact the curse, thus killing him as a sacrifice.[19]
Malcolm/Peter Pan/Pied Piper Robbie Kay (Peter Pan/Pied Piper)
Stephen Lord (Malcolm)
Jared S. Gilmore (In Henry's Body)
3 11[108] Deceased
Robbie Kay
Malcolm is the father of Rumplestiltskin, the wife of Evanna, the grandfather of Baelfire, and the great-grandfather of Henry Mills. Malcolm originally leaves his son in the care of two spinners, who give Rumplestiltskin a magical bean to create a portal to leave his careless father. Using the magic bean, Malcolm and Rumplestiltskin travel to Neverland, a place which Malcolm envisions in his dreams. Upon arrival, Malcolm discovers he cannot fly like in his dreams, and the Shadow tells him this is because he does not belong on the island. Realizing that he cannot be a child as he is a father, Malcolm forces Rumplestiltskin to be taken home by the Shadow. Malcolm transforms into his younger self, adopting the name of Peter Pan (which he named himself after Rumplestiltskin's doll). The Shadow informs Pan that his youth is limited, and he will die when the hourglass of Skull Rock is complete.[30] Some time later, Pan visits Hamelin in the Enchanted Forest posing as the Pied Piper to expand what would later become the Lost Boys.

He later appears as a fugitive boy pretending to escape from the Lost Boys. He "befriends" Henry who is also attempting to escape upon arriving in Neverland, following his kidnap from Storybrooke. He later reveals his true identity and tells Henry he possesses "the heart of the truest believer", which he now owns.[44] He blackmails John and Michael Darling to help him with his tasks, in exchange for their sister Wendy's life, who had been lured back to Neverland. Pan falsely claims to Henry that magic is dying in Neverland, and needs Henry's power. He then persuades Henry to give him his heart, leading Henry to temporarily die. After Pan traps Gold inside Pandora's Box,[30] Regina successfully reclaims Henry's heart and revives him, before Pan swaps his and Henry's souls.[31] Once in Storybrooke, Pan orders the Shadow to kill Mother Superior after reading Henry's book. He then steals the original curse from Regina that created Storybrooke, planning to enact it to turn the town into "The New Neverland."[18] His plot is successful, though before it takes place, Gold kills both Pan (who reverts to Malcolm) and himself with the Dark One's dagger.[19]

Tinker Bell was referenced by Cora who mentioned to have met her and described to Cora the identity of the man that Regina is destined to be with.

Upon arrival at Neverland, Regina meets Tinker Bell who reluctantly forgives Regina for what she did to her. Tinker Bell agrees to help her and the rest of the group in their quest to find Henry, having been promised a home with them.[76]

She refuses, noting that Tinker Bell does not believe in herself, therefore she cannot either. She later manages to believe, using her pixie dust to kill Peter Pan's shadow. As a young woman, her parents travel on a mission to the Enchanted Forest, searching for a cure to her sister's powers. However, they are involved in a storm and die in a shipwreck. Elsa discovers this five years later, leading Anna to venture to the Enchanted Forest to fulfill their parents' last mission. Befriending David, she helps him defeat the warlord Bo Peep and in return is told of Rumplestiltskin who might help her control her sister's magic. When she returned to Arendelle with a box she took from Rumplestiltskin, Anna became suspicious of the Snow Queen, and after discovering the truth about Helga, Ingrid imprisons Anna, then uses a spell to have her turn on Elsa, resulting in Anna trapping Elsa in the urn, but Ingrid, upset over what Anna did, freezes Anna, along with Kristoff and the entire kingdom of Arendelle. Thirty years later, Arendelle thaws and Anna and Kristoff end up on the run from Prince Hans and his three brothers. With help from Blackbeard, Prince Hans and this three brothers capture Anna and Kristoff. In Storybrooke, Elsa discovers Anna's necklace in Mr. Gold's pawn shop and vows to find her. Using Bo Peep's staff, Elsa, David Nolan, and Captain Hook are able to hear Anna's heartbeat.

Using Anna's necklace and a locator spell provided by Belle, Emma and Elsa follow its trail to the Storybrooke Library. When in the mineshaft, they find a caved-in path causing Emma and Elsa to find another way to the other side. Elsa opens up a hole in the wall where they end up on a beach. When Elsa ends up hoping for Anna using her necklace (which was a Wishing Star), she ends up saving Anna and Kristoff from their fate at the bottom of Poseidon's Graveyard, and brings them to Storybrooke. Anna and Elsa are reunited as they head to meet up with the fairies, to find a way to counter the Spell of Shattered Sight. However, the fairies have all disappeared, since Hook was forced to use the Sorcerer's Hat to absorb them, so they head off to the Sheriff's Station to brace for the worst. During the spell, Regina made Anna and Krisoff disappear back the beach, where she finds a bottle and after hitting a talkative Krisoff on the head, Anna discovers her mother's letter and races to the Snow Queen's lair, where she reads the letter to Ingrid, thus ending the spell. When Emma finds the portal that will take the visitors back to Arendelle, Anna tells Emma that Gold, when he was Rumplestiltskin, lies to everyone (which lead to how Elsa and Anna ended up in this situation), leading Emma to go after Gold upon learning of his true colors. When Kristoff appeared to rescue Anna from Ingrid after she manipulated Anna into imprisoning Elsa in an urn, Ingrid froze both of them.

Thirty years later, Arendelle thaws and Anna and Kristoff end up on the run from Prince Hans and his three brothers, as they have taken over the kingdom. With help from Blackbeard, Prince Hans and his three brothers capture Anna and Kristoff. Anna and Kristoff are then placed in a trunk and thrown off the ship into Poseidon's Graveyard (which was the area where the ship carrying Anna and Elsa's parents sank).

When Elsa ends up hoping for Anna using her necklace (which was a Wishing Star), she ends up saving Anna and Kristoff from their fate at the bottom of Poseidon's Graveyard, and brings them to Storybrooke. Since the spell can only affect victims once, Kristoff was not affected while in Storybrooke, and after Regina sent him and Anna back to the beach, Anna knocked him out with the bottle that contained the letter written by Anna's mother. With Ingrid having killed herself, Elsa, along with Anna and Krisoff, return to Arendelle in time for his wedding to Anna.

Ingrid/Snow Queen Sarah Fisher Elizabeth Mitchell
Brighton Sharbino (child)
4 10 Deceased
Elizabeth Mitchell
Ingrid, also known as the Snow Queen, is an older woman who possesses ice powers similar to Elsa's, but more controlled and more powerful.

She manifested her powers at a young age when she, Helga, and Gerda were attacked by a criminal. Following an incident where Helga was accidentally frozen to death because of the Duke of Weselton's trick, Gerda sealed Ingrid away in a magical urn, while mourning Helga's death and her own actions.

She was released from the urn by Prince Hans, whom she then froze for calling Elsa a monster, implying that she was a "monster". She also freezes three of Hans' other older brothers as revealed by Prince Hans in "Fall". The Snow Queen later informs Elsa that she is her aunt, as she is the sister of Queen Gerda of Arendelle. At some point afterwards, Ingrid visits the Apprentice to have him ask the Sorcerer for an item that she needs to complete her family. Upon finding out that Elsa is on to her, Ingrid then used her power to have Anna turn on Elsa, which resulted in Anna imprisoning Elsa in the urn. Afterwards Ingrid freeze Anna and Kristoff. Unfortunately, Rumplestiltskin would take the urn and Anna's necklace from Ingrid as part of an exchange for the Sorcerer's hat. However, she ends up giving the hat to the Apprentice who in exchange for the item, is given the one thing she needs to complete her family, a new sister, which leads her to a portal that sends her to New York City in 1982. Once there, Ingrid works in a foster home, as well as taking care of young Emma. Ingrid decided to adopt Emma, but circumstances changed. Sometime in 2001, Ingrid travels to Maine using the Apperentice's Scroll and manifest in Storybrooke. Using the alias Sarah Fisher, she opens an ice cream parlor called "Any Given Sundae". When Emma arrives to Storybrooke, she has an awkward conversation with Emma and eventually she erases her memory. When the original Curse was reversed, Ingrid is send back to Fairy Tale Land.

Ingrid later returns to Storybrooke when the Curse was cast again. When Elsa is brought to the town, the Snow Queen takes advantage of Elsa's ice barrier that surrounds Storybrooke. The Snow Queen places a freezing spell in Maid Marian's ice cream cone, causing her to fall into a frozen sleep. Emma soon discovers the Snow Queen and uses her magic to save Captain Hook, after she threatened to kill him. She escapes after implying that she knows Emma, whom she taunted. Sarah then uses Sidney in a plot to lure Regina into allowing her to take her magic mirror, in exchange for Sidney's freedom. It was later discovered that Sarah was Emma's foster mother on Earth, having taken her in after she was caught by Social Services in Minnesota.

Her true plan is later uncovered. the Snow Queen wants two new sisters to replace the ones she lost, but they must have magic like her. She also planned to use the Spell of Shattered Sight, to have the inhabitants of Storybrooke kill each other off, until only she, Elsa, and Emma are left. In hindsight, the loss of her true sisters seems to have driven Ingrid insane as she doesn't see how much Emma and Elsa despise her. Although Ingrid hasn't considered the possibility, Elsa and Emma may end up trying to stop her plans by killing her, which is pretty much the only logical option since Ingrid won't listen to reason.

Later on, Ingrid allowed herself to be "captured" by Emma, implanting an ice shard in her in the process, allowing her to talk with Emma in private at the police station. When Belle discovers that the mirror in the Clock Tower was a fake, David, Mary Margret, and the others catch on to Ingrid's plan too late, and they are unable to warn Emma, as Ingrid had frozen over the police station doors shut. Then, Ingrid plays on Emma's emotions, eventually making her lose control of herself and her magic, which destroys a chunk of the wall and allows the Snow Queen to escape. After Ingrid discovered that Mr. Gold was planning to use the Sorcerer's Hat to absorb Emma and her powers, she tries to stop him, only to realize that he had imprisoned her in a force field made from the urn dust. Then, she tries to warn Emma via an illusion, which initially causes Emma to lose control of her car and crash. However, Emma still refused to believe her, continuing to drive off towards the abandoned mansion. After Elsa saved Emma and the urn dust wore off, Ingrid places her ribbons on all three of them, allowing her to harness their powers. Then, she warns Mr. Gold not to underestimate her and casts the Spell of Shattered Sight over Storybrooke. When Mr. Gold visits Ingrid, she agrees to keep the Spell of Shattered Sight from affecting Belle and Henry, and an escape route from Storybrooke, in exchange for Gold not seeking vengeance on her life. Then, she tells him that the Spell of Shattered Sight will cover Storybrooke by sunset.

As the citizens of Storybrooke begin to attack each other, due to the Spell of Shattered Sight, Emma and Elsa confront Ingrid at "Any Given Sundae", where their powers can't work on her due to the ribbons on them. At her lair, Ingrid then proceeds into the next part of her plan where she restores the good memories of Emma and Elsa to them while stating that they don't have it in them to kill her. When Anna arrives with the note about her mother's last words that involved the truth of Ingrid and Helga being Elsa and Anna's aunts while stating that Arendelle deserves to know about Ingrid and Helga. Ingrid then begins to attack Anna and manages to knock her down. Upon reading the note, Ingrid sees that Anna is right and begins to regret her actions. Ingrid then undoes the Spell of Shattered Sight by destroying herself. Before she dies, Ingrid states that Emma has found her family and returns the memories of Emma and Elsa to them, now that she has her sisters' love. Ingrid then disappears to the afterlife, where she is happy to join Gerda and Helga there.

The Apprentice Timothy Webber 4 7 Deceased
The Apprentice is an old man who works for the Sorcerer.

The Apprentice protects his teacher's creation, a box capable of transforming into a hat for absorbing and accumulating magic, from each person that takes on the Dark One's powers. As an added measure of security, the Sorcerer curses the box so those who have succumbed to darkness may never open it and only someone who has been tempted into darkness but has not given into it can do the opposite. While sweeping the grounds of the box's location, Zoso (who was the Dark One at the time) arrives in an attempt to open the guarded relic. After being magically thrown aside by Zoso, The Apprentice watches the Dark One's futile endeavor to access the box's contents only to be blasted away by the artifact's magic. Once the Apprentice informs the Dark One of why his mission will never succeed, a beaten Zoso teleports away. Years later, Zoso's successor Rumplestiltskin conspires to possess the sorcerer's box and utilize the hat within it. The Apprentice, now living in a small cottage, stores the box in his basement for safekeeping. By some method, he ingests a poison that Rumplestiltskin created which will transmutate him into a mouse. In a deal with Anna, Rumplestiltskin sends her to put a bottled substance (which she presumes to be poison) into the apprentice's tea. In actuality, it is an antidote to cure him. During one day, the Apprentice opens his door to Anna and invites her in for tea and biscuits. He even allows her to stay at his home as long as she desires. As he sweeps the floor, Anna checks on the boiling kettle. Despite Rumplestiltskin's instructions, she dumps the bottled substance into a fire. After Anna's departure from the cottage, he turns into a mouse. Since discovering the truth, Anna rushes to the apprentice's house and begs Rumplestiltskin to undo the poison's effects, but the Dark One tricks the girl into nearly succumbing to darkness but ultimately turning away from it. After Rumplestiltskin gains the box, the Apprentice's mouse form jumps onto and bites the Dark One's hand. Startled, Rumplestiltskin drops the dagger to which Anna seizes it and commands him to give the box to her. She forces him into sending her and the box to Arendelle as well as reverting the Apprentice into a human.

Sometime later, the Apprentice is visited by Ingrid where she wants him to ask the Sorcerer what she needs to complete her family. After Ingrid had frozen Anna and Kristoff following her tricking Anna into imprisoning Elsa in a magical urn, she is approached in a cave by the Apprentice. In exchange that Ingrid hands him the box instead of giving it to Rumplestiltskin, he will tell her what the Sorcerer told him about Ingrid's question. Ingrid does so and the Apprentice tells her that she will need a true sister. As the sister in question is not born yet, the Apprentice tells Ingrid that the sister she requires will grow up on Earth as he manifests a portal door to take Ingrid to Earth in the 1980s.

Snow White and Prince Charming are directed by a peddler to the Apprentice's house where they talk to him about the vision of Emma being corrupted. The Apprentice tells them that a blank slate would purge the darkness from their child. He warns them that once the spell is enacted, it can't be reversed. When Maleficent's egg is obtained, the Apprentice transports it alongside Cruella De Vil and Ursula to Earth as part of the spell's side effect. The Apprentice later confronts the Author for manipulating the transportation of Maleficent's egg and imprisons him for his irresponsibility.

The Apprentice speaks to the Sorcerer about Isaac's actions. The Sorcerer tells him that he can't undo the spell and that the girls' fates will be intertwined. The Apprentice later went to Earth where he encountered Lily on the bus. He started to tell Lily about who her mother was.

In Storybrooke, he is shown to be living in a house. Mr. Gold and Captain Hook (who goes along with Mr. Gold's plan to get rid of his "cursed" hand) visit his house in order to get him to activate the box upon using a transformed broom to trace his location. Once Mr. Gold opens the box and utilizes the hat's power, the Apprentice is sucked into the Hat.

With help from the Mother Superior using the Apprentice's broom, Emma frees the Apprentice from the Hat so that he can help them stop Isaac before he can begin his next move. The Apprentice plans to obtain the page of the book drawing so that he can re-trap Isaac and make sure that nobody can free him again. After reality is restored, Henry is approached by the Apprentice where he claims that the Author can't even bring Baelfire to life since he died in the real world. The Apprentice tells Henry that the events in the "Once Upon a Time" book is truth and hopes that Henry can resist the temptation. Henry breaks the quill telling the Apprentice that nobody deserves this kind of power. The Apprentice later helps to save Mr. Gold's life by placing the Dark One's powers into the Sorcerer's Hat. Unfortunately, the Dark One's powers escape and enter the Apprentice's body which weakens. The Apprentice stated that the Darkness was behind the Dark One's powers where the Sorcerer is the only one to defeat the Darkness. Before he dies, the Apprentice tells Emma that the Sorcerer's name is Merlin.

Lilith, nicknamed "Lily", is the daughter of Maleficent where the egg that she was hatched from ended up on Earth as a side effect of the Apprentice's spell to move a baby Emma's potential for darkness into her.

As an orphan baby, Lily is adopted into the Page Family in Hopkins, Minnesota that names her "Lilith", or "Lily" for short. Growing up with the family, Lily begins feeling invisible and unseen. Deciding to run away from home, she takes her father's credit card and disappears.

In 1998 after Emma ran away from the orphanage in Boston, Lily first met Emma when she spotted her eyeing a Pop-Tarts box.

Some time afterwards when Emma was with a foster family in Mankato, Minnesota, Emma had an encounter with Lily in her foster family's garage. Lily apologizes to Emma for lying and states that she is in big trouble while stating that her wanting to be Emma's friend was true. She joins Emma's foster family for dinner as she quotes to them that Emma is lucky to have her. After dinner, Lily states to Emma that she was covering up how they really met. They witness a news report about a store robbery as Lily states that she can explain. Lily tells her that her boyfriend dragged her into the store robbery as Emma states to Lily to get out of town. Lily states that the necklace of her birth mother is at her boyfriend. Emma states that she'll get her necklace and afterwards, Lily is to get out of town. At the house of Lily's boyfriend, Emma finds Lily's necklace and learns from her foster parents that Lily took some of their money. Emma then leaves to find Lily. At the bus stop, Emma confronts Lily where she claimed that Lily set her free. Emma gives Lily her necklace as she claims that her foster family had kicked her out upon her life is darkness. When Lily begs Emma not to walk away, Emma states that she is better off alone and walks off. While on the bus, Lily encounters the Apprentice who owes her the truth about her mother.

Many years later, Emma came to regret pushing Lily away. With Captain Hook in her company, Emma revisited the footage of her and Lily where the footage after that played a key part in helping Emma identify the Snow Queen as one of Emma's foster parents.

With help from Mr. Gold, Maleficent discovered that Lily is her long-lost child and plans to reunite with her.

Maleficent convinces Emma Swan and Regina Mills into helping her find Lily as Emma learns that Lily was Maleficent's daughter. The landlord of the building of her last address claimed that Lily had perished in a car wreck. At the gas station, Emma finds Lily under the alias of Starla at its coffee shop. Emma confronts Lily outside and reveals her identity. Lily states that she's been in some trouble in the last years as Emma tries to make amends. When Emma states that she wants to help her, Lily claims that she has a husband and a daughter. When Emma apologizes for what happened, Lily states that she hasn't thought of Emma in years and joins the girl who just got off the school bus who played along with her. Using Lily's time card, Emma and Regina find Lily's house where they find that Lily was trying to find Storybrooke and that Lily wants revenge on Snow White. Upon Lily stealing Emma's car, Emma borrows a car to go after her in hot pursuit. Upon cutting her off, Emma confronts Lily where she claims that her parents are monsters. Emma and Lily get into a struggle where Emma is unable to shoot her. Regina persuades Emma not to give in to the darkness. After she does, Emma persuades Lily to come with her to New York as Regina is informed by a call from Maleficent that Mr. Gold has stolen Belle's heart from her office.

After learning about Emma's husband Neal, Lily is reunited with her mother in Storybrooke. When Lily asks Maleficent about what they are going to do about Snow White and Maleficent, Maleficent states that she isn't up for revenge. Maleficent works to keep Lily in Storybrooke while warning her that she won't be able to get back into Storybrooke. Regina later approaches Lily where she states that Mary Margaret and David dead. Regina then cuts Lily's hand to obtain her blood to obtain a sample of the darkness in her and disappears while quoting "Welcome to Storybrooke." After Regina leaves, Lily's eyes become reptilian. Maleficent, Mary Margaret, and David later encounter Lily in her dragon form. Maleficent approaches Lily's dragon form as Mary Margaret runs after her. David states to Mary Margaret that Lily is out of control as she knocks Mary Margaret out. When Maleficent confronts Lily, she regresses back to dragon form as Maleficent gives Lily her baby rattle which she never got the chance to give her. Lily claims that she destroys everything she touches ever since Snow White and Prince Charming put Emma's darkness in her. Maleficent convinces Lily to stay for a week to teach her some tricks.

After Henry undid Isaac's work, Emma speaks with Lily at Granny's Diner where she has the part of the egg. Lily tells Emma that she will stick around to find out who was her father as Maleficent doesn't know who her father is since Lily was conceived while both of her parents were in dragon form.

Queens of Darkness
The Queens of Darkness is a small group of villains that comprises Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, and Ursula. They are later joined by Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold in a plot to get their happy ending.

Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, and Ursula were first brought together to help Rumplestiltskin procure the Dark Curse. Upon Rumplestiltskin getting the Dark Curse, he leaves them to deal with the Chernobog. Maleficent served as the diversion while Cruella De Vil and Ursula get to high ground to extract Maleficent.

Maleficent, Cruella De Vil and Ursula later encounter Snow White and Prince Charming at a castle to make a deal that involved consulting the Tree of Wisdom (which would answer to only the valiant heroes) on how to beat the Evil Queen and the Dark Curse. The Queens of Evil confronted Snow White and Prince Charming near the tree where the reason why the Tree of Wisdom didn't answer their question is because Snow White is pregnant. Before leaving, the Queens of Darkness claim that their child will become a powerful person and be born with potential darkness.

Some time ago, they kidnapped Belle in order to obtain a magical gauntlet that Rumplestiltskin claimed from Camelot. They succeeded at first only to be revealed by Rumplestiltskin that he tricked them. When the Dark Curse was enacted, Maleficent is sent to Storybrooke.

Many years later, Ursula is seen in the Land Without Magic working at a New York aquarium when Mr. Gold finds her to join her and the others in the quest to get their happy ending. Ursula is informed of "The Author" that can give villains their victory against the heroes. They pack up and began their journey to search for Cruella and Maleficent. After Cruella and Ursula get Mr. Gold back into Storybrooke, the work to revive Maleficent. Maleficent's revival is a success where the bloods of Mary Margaret and David were used as a component for the resurrection. Mary Margaret convinces Regina Mills to get close to the Queens of Darkness to find out what they are planning.

Maleficent Kristin Bauer van Straten 1, 2, 4 12 Alive
Kristin Bauer van Straten
Maleficent is a witch who is able to take the form of a fire-breathing black dragon.

At some point, Maleficent worked with Cruella De Vil and Ursula into kidnapping Belle in order to obtain a magic gauntlet that Rumplestiltskin claimed from his visit in Camelot.

After failed attempts to kill Princess Aurora's mother, Maleficent inflicts Aurora with a sleeping curse, putting both the Princess and her kingdom into a thorn-adorned ruin. Maleficent also curses her true love Prince Phillip by transforming him into a beast called the Yaoguai and banishing him to another land so that he is incapable of reaching Aurora. He remains in this form until he is found by Belle who returns him to human form.

Maleficent was revealed to be pregnant with a child. With advice from Maleficent, Snow White grabs the horn of a unicorn to see into her child's future. Snow White and Prince Charming are told by a peddler that Maleficent's dragon form has laid an egg. In order to evade the prophecy that would say that their child would become corrupted by evil, Snow White and Prince Charming had no choice but to steal Maleficent's egg for the Apprentice's spell to seal their child's unreleased darkness. After putting Cruella De Vil and Ursula are put to sleep, Snow White and Prince Charming find Maleficent's egg as well as Maleficent's dragon form. Regressing back to normal upon her egg being threaten, Maleficent tries to get Snow White to not do away with her child as Snow White states that they will bring it back when they are done. They give the egg to the Apprentice to seal their daughter's darkness. Due to the spell's side effect, Maleficent's egg is transported to Earth alongside Cruella De Vil and Ursula.

When Will Scarlet and Robin Hood's Merry Men invade Maleficent's castle to steal the gold there, her voice is projected into their camp telling them to return a stolen Looking Glass.

She is approached at some point by the Evil Queen Regina, who trades the Dark Curse created by Rumplestiltskin, for Maleficent's sleeping curse, in order to punish Snow White. Later, in hope to find Snow White, Prince Charming is given a locating spell from Rumplestiltskin if he manages to hide a potion inside the belly of a beast (Maleficent). The witch transforms into a fire-breathing dragon, though Charming manages to place the potion within her.[15] Eventually, Maleficent gives up on her revenge against Aurora's mother, finding solace in her pet black unicorn. However, the Evil Queen, frustrated at the failure of the sleeping curse, desires the Dark Curse once more, but Maleficent refuses. Regina challenges her to a spar, eventually defeating Maleficent, but she allows Maleficent to live, saying that she is her only friend.[26]

In Storybrooke, it is revealed that Regina Mills (the Evil Queen) trapped Maleficent in her dragon form and imprisoned her beneath Storybrooke's abandoned library. Later, when Henry Mills falls under a sleeping curse to prove the curse's reality to Emma Swan, Emma is forced to kill Maleficent to retrieve the potion within her, later revealed to be a bottle of true love. Regina later travels beneath the library to retrieve the "fail-safe" trigger to destroy Storybrooke, finding Maleficent alive in an undead-like body form.[110]

Upon Mr. Gold, Cruella de Vil, and Ursula getting into Storybrooke, they work to bring Maleficent back from the dead. In the underground caverns beneath the Storybrooke Library, Mr. Gold assembles the remains of Maleficent. When Cruella and Ursula obtain a special box from Mr. Gold's Pawnshop without Belle noticing, Mary Margaret and David work to keep them from getting Maleficent's remains which leads to Ursula knocking them unconscious. Taking the blood of Mary Margaret and David, Cruella places the blood on Maleficent's ashes which resurrects Maleficent as the component for this revival spell was the blood of those who wronged her the most. Maleficent then tells Mary Margaret and David that they will experience the pain that she has experienced.

After putting a sleeping spell on Storybrooke, Maleficent speaks with Mr. Gold about getting the Author so that she can find out what Snow White did to the egg containing her child. When Regina was put asleep, Maleficent demands from Mr. Gold to find out her answer on her child's fate. Using the rattle as a charm, Mr. Gold looks into the past where the baby was adopted and named Lily. Maleficent tells Mr. Gold that they must find a way to reunite her with Lily.

Coming to realize Mr. Gold only cares about himself, Maleficent approaches Emma, Mary Margaret, David, Regina, and Captain Hook proposing an alliance with them if Emma finds Lilith for her. While Emma and Regina are out searching for her daughter, Maleficent is left to guard Belle's heart in Regina's office. While sitting behind the desk, she toys with the baby rattle in one hand until David and Mary Margaret enter attempting to make amends for what they did to her. Unimpressed, Maleficent considers that their apology should be for Lilith since they did the most damage to her, to which they promise to do whatever it takes to make it up. She questions if it's enough for Lilith who may not forgive them for making her a monster. Later as Mr. Gold approaches the office, Maleficent opens the door daring him to try and get in. Upon briefly testing the entrance, he uncovers a barrier that Regina cast to keep him out. Maleficent makes it clear she is no longer working with him since Emma and Regina will find Lilith and that Emma won't turn dark as he wants. He contends that Lilith is actually the person who will make Emma stay on the path of darkness. She scoffs at his assertion and eventually discovers that Mr. Gold purposely distracted her with conversation so Will could steal Belle's heart. Regina was later informed of this after Emma had not given into the darkness.

Maleficent was able to be reunited with Lily. When Lily asks Maleficent about what they are going to do about Snow White and Prince Charming, Maleficent states that she isn't up for revenge. Maleficent works to keep Lily in Storybrooke while warning her that she won't be able to get back into Storybrooke. Maleficent approaches Mary Margaret and David for help into keeping Lily in Storybrooke.

According to Lily during her talk with Emma, she mentioned that Maleficent doesn't know who her father is, since the conception happened while she and the father were dragons, she doesn't know his identity (meaning it was a sorcerer in the form of a dragon or a regular dragon).

Ursula the Sea Witch Merrin Dungey 4 6 Alive
Ursula is a half-woman half-octopus sea witch. She is named after the Sea Goddess, Ursula, who grants mermaids the ability to walk on dry land from one high tide to another in twelve hours.[111] Ursula also appears to have a human form where she can bring out her tentacles at will.

In her earlier life, Ursula was a former mermaid who was the daughter of King Poseidon while her mother was killed by a pirate that she helped. Her singing voice nearly caused Captain Hook's ship to crash while on his way back to Neverland. She had a disagreement with her father where she was to user her voice to harm people as long as she is in his ocean. While performing at a bar in human form, Ursula is approached by Captain Hook where she tells Captain Hook her history and shows him an artifact that she took from her father's vault. Ursula told Captain Hook that she is raising money for Glowerhaven which is where her mother planned to go. Captain Hook plans to take Ursula to Glowerhaven. Unbeknownst to Ursula, Captain Hook is to give Ursula an enchanted sea shell by King Poseidon which will take away Ursula singing voice in exchange for the information on how to defeat Rumplestiltskin. Captain Hook tipped off Ursula of King Poseidon's visit and would like her to obtain some squid ink from her father. After they both pulled off their part, King Poseidon arrived where he claimed that he didn't want to lose Ursula like how he lost her mother. To make King Poseidon suffer after ruining his plans, Captain Hook was forced to take away Ursula's voice as she flees into the ocean. Back at his lair, King Poseidon apologized to Ursula for what happened. Ursula decides to choose her own "side," and grabs his trident which she uses to transform herself into an appearance similar to the Ursula of legend, while also increasing her powers beyond that of Poseidon's. This grants her the title as the Sea Witch.

At some point, Ursula worked with Maleficent and Cruella De Vil in order to obtain a magic gauntlet that Rumplestiltskin obtained during his visit to Camelot.

Ursula and Cruella De Vil were guarding Maleficent's cave where they were put to sleep by Snow White and Prince Charming. Ursula and Cruella De Vil are later transported to Earth alongside the egg containing Maleficent's child.

Many years later after the Dark Curse, Ursula was seen in the Land Without Magic working as an aquarium worker in New York feeding the fish there. Mr. Gold finds her (after being forced out of Storybrooke by Belle) and offers her a chance to get even with the heroes and find the Author. They then head out to find Cruella De Vil and Maleficent. Ursula and Mr. Gold find Cruella De Vil in Long Island. Upon using Mr. Gold's cellphone, Ursula and Cruella make a deal with Regina to let them into Storybrooke in exchange for info on how to defeat the Chernabog. After the Chernabog disappeared upon being thrown over the town line, Ursula and Cruella were invited into Storybrooke. Later that night, Ursula and Cruella get Mr. Gold back into Storybrooke.

Emma later learns that Captain Hook had previously known Ursula during his days as a pirate. Captain Hook draws Ursula out of Mr. Gold's hideout to make a deal with Ursula to return her treasure. Using part of the Jolly Roger that Captain Hook has, Ursula uses her underwater portal ability to bring the Jolly Roger to Storybrooke in the form a bottled ship. Using a Wonderland mushroom given to them by Will Scarlet, Captain Hook and Ursula restore the Jolly Roger to its true form. Once on board, Captain Hook obtains the shell where the singing voice doesn't come out since Captain Hook states that villains don't get their happy endings. Ursula then tosses Captain Hook overboard. Ursula is unaware that Captain Hook was rescued by Ariel. After Emma frees August and Mary Margaret knocked out Cruella De Vil, Ursula attacked the group and got Mary Margaret trapped in her tentacle. In the nick of time, Captain Hook arrives with King Poseidon (who was brought here by Ariel) who tries to reason with Ursula while mentioning that he has a part of his wife in Ursula. King Poseidon manages to successfully return Ursula's voice. Afterwards, Ursula reconciles with her father. Before leaving with King Poseidon, Ursula tips off Captain Hook that Mr. Gold has plans for Emma.

Cruella De Vil Cruella Feinberg Victoria Smurfit (adult)
Milli Wilkinson (child)
4 7 Deceased
Cruella De Vil is a woman who has the ability to control animals using a persuasion magic.

In her early life in England in a 1920s-based world, Cruella lived with her abusive mother who used her dalmatians to torment Cruella. Cruella was made to live in the attic until she does what her mother says. As she grows up still living in the attic while admiring the "Cruella De Vil" song, Cruella is visited by Isaac posing as a newspaper reporter who frees Cruella. Isaac provides Cruella a key to get her out and takes her to a nightclub where Cruella tells him that her mother poisoned her fathers. After the dance, Isaac shows Cruella his special pen while stating that he tells her about the many realms that he has visited to write the stories while explaining the truth of her world. He proves his point by making some jewelry appear on her and then enables Cruella to learn magic. Cruella states that she has to deal with her mother first. When Cruella's mother confronts Isaac on where Cruella is while claiming that Cruella killed her fathers, Isaac is advised to stay away from Cruella. Cruella manages to sneak away Isaac's pen where she uses her new persuasion powers to turn the dogs against Cruella's mother. Isaac visits Cruella where he learns that her mother is dead and has skinned the two dalmatians to make her new coat. When Isaac asks why, Cruella states that she doesn't know why. Isaac grabs his pen and the ink spills on Cruella turning her hair half-black half-white. Isaac keeps Cruella from killing him by writing that she can no longer kill as he gets away.

At some point, Cruella worked with Maleficent and Ursula in order to obtain a magic gauntlet that Rumplestiltskin obtained from his visit to Camelot.

Cruella De Vil and Ursula were guarding Maleficent's cave where they were put to sleep by Snow White and Prince Charming. Cruella De Vil and Ursula are later transported to Earth alongside the egg containing Maleficent's child.

Many years later after the Dark Curse, Cruella De Vil was shown living on Long Island under the alias of Cruella Feinberg, who just had her lavish lifestyle and items repossessed by the FBI upon her husband Mr. Feinberg being arrested. Mr. Gold and Ursula find her and offer her the opportunity to join them into returning to Storybrooke. Cruella agrees to the terms and takes them to Storybrooke in her car. Later that night, Cruella and Ursula get Mr. Gold back into Storybrooke.

While Mr. Gold, Regina, and Maleficent were searching the Sorcerer's mansion for the door that the Author was behind, Cruella was left to guard August. She was knocked out by Mary Margaret. Cruella managed to slip away after witnessing King Poseidon returned Ursula her singing voice. After catching up to Mr. Gold, Regina, and Maleficent, Cruella De Vil told them that Emma and Mary Margaret rescued August. She also told them her suspicion of Ursula being the mole, unaware that she has left Storybrooke with her father.

Cruella was visited by Maleficent to ask her about what happened to her daughter Lily and that she and Ursula left her in the woods. Maleficent tells Cruella that her death is going to last for days as Maleficent assumes her dragon form. Cruella uses her persuasion ability on Maleficent's dragon form as she begins her own plans for Isaac. Then Cruella approaches Isaac in Mr. Gold's cabin where she threatens him to help her out for old time's sake. As Isaac states that Cruella has lied to Mr. Gold about knowing him, she states that there is more than one way to skin an author. Cruella controls Pongo to help her capture Henry. Cruella then sends a video message to Regina and Emma to kill the author or else Henry will have an unhappy ending. Isaac Heller Patrick Fischler 4 7 Alive
Isaac Heller is an up-and-coming writer who started out as a television salesman in our world in 1966. Upon being invited to a publishing company, he meets the Apprentice in the form of a publisher where he is advised to choose the pen that would call out to him. Because of this, he becomes the latest of many Authors. The job of each Author was to transcribe the events that occurred in the Enchanted Forest, using a magical quill. Among his many predecessors, it is suggested Walt Disney had the job before he died in December 1966.

Unlike many others, this Author chose to abuse the power of the magic quill to twist the facts into stories that amused him, he showed no regret for the anguish he caused others through his manipulations.

Isaac has a history with Cruella where he plays a part in her origin.

Attempting the flee the Sorcerer and the Apprentice, he posed as a common Peddler that crossed paths with Snow White and Prince Charming. He informed that Maleficent had turned into a dragon and laid an egg, tricking them into seeking the Apprentice's help. The Author manipulated the Apprentice into promising to ensure the unknown Emma's goodness by transferring all her darkness into another unborn child. As a result, Maleficent's child was taken and banished to the Land Without Magic, along with Ursula and Cruella De Vil, after the spell was complete. As punishment, the Apprentice sealed the Author into the Book. The Author has no power while locked in the Book and the pen and magical inkwell (minus magical ink) is eventually seen in Mr. Gold's possession. It remains unknown how much he could still manipulate others, but his prison appeared during each Dark Curse.

Some time later, a mystic from Hong Kong called The Dragon learns about the existence of the storybook and amasses research about the Author. After The Dragon's death, August Booth takes the research with him for his journey to Storybrooke.

When Regina began seeking him to gain a happy ending, the Author made an alternate page from the book appear to her as a sign that he was around. Mother Superior knew he existed but hadn't been seen in years. Mr. Gold also knew of his existence, and sought him out to eradicate the rules to put an end to all villainous ways. The Queens of Darkness had joined forces with Mr. Gold to find and free the Author. After a struggle between the Charmings and the Queens, the Author's prison (a picture of a door) ended up in Emma's possession. However, she made the mistake of unlocking the door and letting him out. Freed, he fled into Storybrooke leaving both sides to find him again. While trying to make another quill, he is approached by Mr. Gold who gets him away from Emma in exchange that he writes a new bunch of "Happy Endings."

Mr. Gold brings Isaac to his cabin where he is told that he'll need the ink for the quill. Isaac is told that he plans to bring Emma to his side. Cruella approaches Isaac where she threatens him to help her out for old time's sake. As Isaac states that Cruella has lied to Mr. Gold about knowing him, she states that there is more than one way to skin an author. Mr. Gold returns where he learns about Isaac's history with Cruella as Isaac begs for forgiveness. Mr. Gold even tells her about Cruella's plans to kill Isaac as Mr. Gold has a plan to keep Isaac alive. Isaac then gives Mr. Gold what he wrote about Cruella. When Mary Margaret and David find Isaac, he wants them that Emma will turn dark and gives them the truth that Cruella can't take the life of another. This causes Mary Margaret and David to go after Emma before she does anything bad.

Isaac tells Mr. Gold that they need Emma in order to produce the Magic Ink for the Author's Quill. Mr. Gold and Isaac look up information on Blood Magic. Regina shows up wanting Isaac's services as she wanted his services first. Mr. Gold proposes to Regina to help her find the Magic Ink for Isaac. Regina states that she'll find the Magic Ink on her own as she teleports Isaac away from her. Regina states that the energies of Emma going dark is what is needed for the Magic Ink. Isaac states that he was working for Mr. Gold because he protected him. As Isaac is shown a picture of Regina being with Robin Hood, Isaac states that he was planning to write about it, but never got the chance. Regina plans to obtain the Magic Ink. Upon obtaining Lily's blood for the Magic Ink, Regina and Isaac visit Zelena's cell at the Storybrooke Hospital and states that she plans to write an ending for Zelena. Gold. Upon meeting up with Mr. Gold, Isaac is instructed to start writing in the "Heroes and Villains" book.

As Isaac started writing in the "Heroes and Villains" book, Mr. Gold suggests to Isaac that he rewrites Rumplestiltskin's past where he can move on without Baelfire. Once it is written, reality is changed where Henry is still in Storybrooke and Isaac is a successful writer where his book "Heroes and Villains" is a bestseller. Upon being threatened by Henry Isaac shows Henry that they are in the original copy. Isaac states that he broke the "Don't Write the Happy Ending" rule and can no longer bring them back. Henry is told by Isaac that he is not from the magical world. Using the key, Henry escapes into the picture of the book where he finds that Isaac has altered the stories as Isaac traps Henry for an ogre to kill with Isaac running off. He is rescued by the knight Rumplestiltskin. Isaac finds that Henry was freed and recalled that he wrote for Rumplestiltskin to slay the ogre. Besides Rumplestiltskin being an ogre-slaying knight, the reality Isaac wrote is where Regina is a rival of Robin Hood, Snow White is the Evil Queen, the Seven Dwarfs and Granny are Snow White's minions, Prince Charming is Snow White's slave following his brother's death, Zelena is Robin Hood's fiancée, Emma is a sorcerer called "The Savior" who is imprisoned in an impenetrable tower by Snow White and has memories of Henry, Captain Hook is a deckhand of Blackbeard's crew, and Lily is the guard of Emma's prison. While looking for Henry, Isaac is caught in a net by the Seven Dwarfs where he is suspected of being in league with Regina and is brought before Snow White. Isaac tries to convince Snow White into sparing him by claiming that he knows where Regina is in exchange for Henry also being killed. Snow White agrees with the deal where their plan involves Regina's capture only for Robin Hood to interfere. Isaac finds Rumplestiltskin's house and tells him that Henry will ruin the story by crashing Robin Hood and Zelena's wedding. Rumplestiltskin tells Isaac to leave as he tells Rumplestiltskin to make sure Robin Hood's wedding isn't crashed. Isaac later attends the wedding of Robin Hood and Zelena where Emma fights Rumplestiltskin. After Regina is injured by Rumplestiltskin, Isaac is among those that come out as Robin Hood and his group find Regina dying. Emma punches Isaac as he states that he is not the Author anymore. Isaac is even surprised that Henry was chosen to be the next Author by the Magic Quill. Using Regina's blood, Henry writes in the book something that undoes Isaac's work. Upon reality being restored, Isaac leaves Mr. Gold as he succumbs to his dark powers. While fleeing, Isaac is intercepted by David and Mary Margaret where he claims that Prince Charming reminded him of the bad boss he had before the Apprentice came along. Mary Margaret claims that Isaac has become the villain and pities him.

Merlin Jonathan Adams (voice, 1st Time), Elliot Knight (2nd Time) 4, 5 1 Unknown
Merlin, also known as the Sorcerer is the most powerful being in Fairy Tale Land. He is served by his Apprentice and originated from a world called Camelot.

For eons, Merlin and his Apprentice have chosen someone to be the Author whose sole purpose is to witness and record the events that occur in their book.

It was mentioned that Merlin was the one who had forged the sword Excalibur.

Merlin creates a box which contains a hat that can absorb and accumulate powers. As a safeguard, the hat is protected by the Sorcerer so only someone who has not succumbed to darkness can open it. For every person that has obtained the Dark One's powers, each has tried and failed to harness the hat in order to keep their magic while gaining freedom from the dagger.

The Apprentice speaks with the presence of Merlin having banished the current Author Isaac into the book after he made him harm Maleficent's child. Merlin tells the Apprentice that he cannot undo what has already been done and remarks that the child along with Snow White and Prince Charming's child are bound together as they always have been.

When the second Dark Curse is cast, Merlin's mansion manifests in Storybrooke. Inside, the house contains his hat, a hidden portal door to Arendelle, and a secret room containing blank storybooks similar to the ones used by each Author.

When the Dark One's powers escaped from the Sorcerer's Hat and planned to find a new host, the dying Apprentice revealed that the Sorcerer's identity is Merlin.

However, upon arrival at his castle, she realizes that the Evil Queen has stolen her voice, and cannot communicate with him.[111]

Regina later summons Ariel to Neverland, revealing that mermaids can travel through realms. After restoring Ariel's voice, she promises to return her legs if she retrieves Pandora's Box from Mr. Gold's shop to defeat Peter Pan.[111] After she completes the quest, Regina gives her the ability to use both her legs and fins with a special bracelet, allowing her to continue her search for Eric in Storybrooke. With help from Belle, she finds Eric as a fisherman and the two reconcile.[18] After Peter Pan enacts the original curse again, Ariel, along with the other inhabitants, are consumed and returned to their original worlds.[19]

After the characters are returned to their worlds, it is later revealed that Eric was kidnapped by the pirate Blackbeard and sent to Hangman's Island when Ariel enlists Captain Hook to capture Blackbeard so that he can take her to Ariel. This did not go according to plan as Captain Hook made Blackbeard walk the plank much to Ariel's dismay. After Zelena posed as Ariel, Emma later discovered that Ariel found a safe haven on Hangman's Island with Eric, unaffected by the new curse enacted by Snow White and Prince Charming (as part of their plan to stop Zelena).[119]

At some point, Ariel got trapped in the bottle with the Jolly Roger. When Captain Hook and Ursula released the Jolly Roger, Ariel was released as well. Ariel saved Captain Hook where she mentioned how she saved Blackbeard from his death to get the info on where to find Eric. Captain Hook enlists help from Ariel where she was able to get King Poseidon to come to Storybrooke to deal with Ursula.

Prince Eric Gil McKinney 3.06, 3.10, 3.17 Alive
Prince Eric is Ariel's true love whom he first meets following a shipwreck from which she saves him from. A year later, Ariel uses her 12-hour time with her legs to meet Eric at a ball. He remembers her from his dreams of the wreck, and invites her to travel with him. She later returns to him, only to find that the Evil Queen has stolen her voice, meaning she cannot summon him.[111]

Whilst summoning Ariel in Neverland, Regina (the Evil Queen) mentions that Eric was transported to Storybrooke, where she locates Ariel to in order to retrieve an item from Mr. Gold's shop.[111] Later, Eric is reunited with Ariel (who is now permanently human thanks to the spell on the special bracelet) in Storybrooke and the two of them reconcile where Eric was found as a fisherman in Storybrooke's fisherman market. After Peter Pan enacts the original curse again, Eric, along with the other inhabitants, are consumed and returned to their original worlds.[19]

It is later revealed that Eric was kidnapped by the pirate Blackbeard and sent to Hangman's Island, in a bid to steal the Jolly Roger from Captain Hook. Ariel later finds Eric and the two live together on the island, unaffected by the new curse enacted by Snow White and Prince Charming (as part of their plan to stop Zelena).[119]

Walsh/Wizard of Oz/Flying Monkey Christopher Gorham 3.12, 3.16, 3.20 Deceased
Christopher Gorham
Walsh is a failed circus performer who found himself in the Land of Oz. His name is taken from the original 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, from the actor Pat Walshe. In this show while in the Land of Oz, he goes under the alias of the Wizard of Oz, a supposedly powerful sorcerer in the land. When Zelena requests the truth of her upbringing, she visits the Wizard who gives her a pair of slippers that send Zelena to Rumplestiltskin's castle. Returning with knowledge of how her mother abandoned her in favor of her sister Regina, Zelena learns the truth about the Wizard's true identity when he claims that he doesn't have the power to send her back in time. Though in a useless state, Zelena transforms Walsh into a Flying Monkey to serve in her revenge plot against Regina.[32] After Dorothy Gale defeats Zelena, she visits the Wizard to help he return home. He gives her the slippers to travel back to Kansas, though it is later revealed that Zelena was posing as him.

In the real world, he appears in his original human form as a man named Walsh where he is the owner of a furniture shop called "The Wizard of Oak." He is presumably sent to New York City to persuade Emma Swan to stay away from her family in Storybrooke. He becomes Emma's boyfriend of eight months during her "new" life following Peter Pan's curse enactment and asks her to marry him, leaving her conflicted, despite Henry thinking he is good for them. When Emma receives her pre-existing real memories from Hook, she realizes she must return to Storybrooke. When she declines Walsh's offer, he appears angered and transforms into his cursed flying monkey form. Emma fights off Walsh after he begins to attack her, pushing him from her apartment roof.

Although Walsh's condition was initially unknown,[20] Emma reveals that Walsh had died as mentioned in "Rocky Road."

Blackbeard Charles Mesure 3.17, 3.21, 4.10, 4.23 Unknown
Charles Mesure
Blackbeard is a pirate captain who is an enemy of Captain Hook.

When Ariel angrily confronts Captain Hook over her missing true love Prince Eric, Hook learns that Blackbeard is responsible. Ariel and Captain Hook confront Blackbeard who states that he will inform them of Eric's whereabouts in exchange for the stolen Jolly Roger and his life. Captain Hook chooses his ship and forces Blackbeard to walk the plank where he was killed by the nearby sharks. After Blackbeard is dead, Captain Hook told Blackbeard's crew that they can either share their captain's fate or join him.[119]

When Emma and Captain Hook accidentally ended up back in time, they see Snow White trying to cut a deal with Blackbeard to take her out of the Enchanted Forest and away from the Evil Queen.

About a year later, it was revealed that Blackbeard was saved from the sharks by a mermaid (which was later revealed to be Ariel). At some point, Anna and Kristoff visited Blackbeard at the shores of the Enchanted Forest where he invites them on board. Anna and Kristoff states that Blackbeard has the Wishing Star and that they want to purchase it. Blackbeard states that the Wishing Star will theirs once he is paid in his weight in gold. When Prince Hans and his three brothers arrive and apprehend Anna and Kristoff, Blackbeard reveals that he knew Anna and Elsa's parents. Anna and Kristoff are then placed in a trunk and thrown in the part of the ocean called Poseidon's Graveyard (which is where the ship carrying Anna and Elsa's parents had sunk). The trunk was something that Blackbeard used as a precaution to prevent them from being rescued by mermaids.

Anna and Elsa later arrested Blackbeard's crew and then had the Jolly Roger shrunken down and trapped in a bottle where it drifted until Ursula brought it to Storybrooke and Captain Hook used a mushroom potion provided by Will Scarlet to restore it to its rightful size.

Queen Gerda Pascale Hutton
Ava Marie Telek (child)
4.01, 4.07, 4.11 Deceased
Pascale Hutton
Queen Gerda is the Queen of Arendelle and mother of Elsa and Anna. Her sisters were Ingrid, The Snow Queen and Helga, her middle sister.

As the youngest of the three sisters, Gerda was always close with Ingrid and Helga, and was the one who sought out Rumplestiltskin's help in controlling Ingrid's magic. Unfortunately, after seeing Helga's destroyed frozen body, Gerda, refusing to believe Ingrid's story that she killed her by mistake, after an incident caused by the Duke of Weselton, and seeing her sister as a monster, exiles Ingrid into the urn. Gerda then speaks to Grand Pabbie about a request for a memory potion to have the entire Kingdom of Arendelle forget about the existence of Helga and Ingrid, but Grand Pabbie states that the truth will come out eventually, and that magic always comes with a price.

Years later, Gerda, along with her husband, left on a mission to find out about Elsa's powers, only to be lost at sea at Poseidon's Boneyard just moments after she wrote a note that she threw into the ocean in the hopes of the message reaching her daughters in time.

Grand Pabbie John Rhys-Davies (voice) 4.01, 4.06, 4.07 Unknown
John Rhys-Davies
Grand Pabbie is the king of the Rock Trolls that live in Arendelle.

When Gerda had sealed Ingrid away in a mystical urn after an incident caused by the Duke of Weselton where Helga was accidentally frozen to death, she speaks to Grand Pabbie about a memory potion to forget the existence of Helga and Ingrid. Grand Pabbie states that the truth will come out soon and that magic comes with a price.

Elsa and Anna visit Grand Pabbie to talk about what their parents did on that voyage. Grand Pabbie states that he doesn't know, but stated that they were going to Misthaven instead of the Northern Isles. Grand Pabbie states that they didn't tell him why they went to Misthaven.

When Belle visits Arendelle, Anna takes her to see Grand Pabbie so that Belle could know what happened to her mother when the Ogres raided Sir Maurice's castle. He gives Belle a special stone in which when brewed with tea, it can help her regain the memories of what happened to her mother when the Ogres invaded Sir Maurice's castle. Anna later tells Grand Pabbie about Ingrid the Snow Queen where he was sworn to secrecy to keep the info on her mother's sisters Ingrid and Helga private. He tells Anna that the answers to questions about Ingrid being related to her mother must be answered by Ingrid.

Prince Hans Tyler Jacob Moore 4.03, 4.09, 4.10 Alive
Prince Hans is the archenemy of Elsa and Anna from the Southern Isles who tried to take over the kingdom.

Hans, three out of twelve of his older brothers, and their army are first seen travelling to locate a mystical urn to imprison Elsa within. When at the North Valley, Hans's army attack Elsa and Kristoff in order to claim the urn. Hans holds Kristoff at swordpoint in order to get Elsa to hand over the urn. Elsa surrenders, though when Hans claims the urn and opens it, he unknowingly releases the Snow Queen, who freezes Hans while his three brothers flee only for them to end up frozen as well.

Ingrid later bring both Hans, 3 of his frozen brothers, and the magic urn to the royal castle, and hides them in a wardrobe in her room.

After Ingrid leaves, Arendelle thaws in 30 years, and Hans thaws and reunites with his three older brothers, as he becomes the new King of Arendelle, with his first act being to arrest Anna and Kristoff. Anna and Kristoff then run from them, as they head out to find Blackbeard. Prince Hans and his three brothers catch up to them at Blackbeard's ship. Hans revealed that they had an informant on the docks and took the swiftest ship to find them. With all of the treasury of Arendelle in his possession (which leaves Anna and Kristoff unable to barter for the Wishing Star), Prince Hans plans to send Anna and Kristoff to their deaths, by throwing them into Poseidon's Graveyard (which is where the boat that carrying Anna and Elsa's parents have sunk) within a trunk.

After Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff have returned to Arendelle, it was stated that Prince Hans and his three brothers were driven out of Arendelle.
