Cyttaria hariotii is an edible mushroom commonly called llao llao, llaullao and pan de indio. The fungus is found in Patagonia, southern Chile and Argentina. The fungus affects these trees internally unbeatable ducts sap. The tree to defend generates nodes to bypass blockages sap. The fungus out of the knot does expand to other parts of the tree.
