How to merge a template

Hello PC-XT. You recommended a merge at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2013 February 10#Template:Moogfest 2010. I am thinking of closing some TfD discussions. How is a template merge done? Do you just subst the template into the article? Is anything special done about the edit history of the template? Thanks for any advice. EdJohnston (talk) 06:01, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, for Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2013_February_10#Template:Mw_mages, as a passing suggestion, I mentioned a merge with a list in the Mage_Wars article. I was thinking of either adding something to each list item, or replacing it with the table from the template, myself, but wasn't sure about it, either, and just left it. The template didn't have much more information, so it was hardly worth doing. PC-XT (talk) 00:11, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I forgot to say that in the one before that I was just seconding Frietjes' suggestion, but I see it's already been closed. PC-XT (talk) 12:16, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, about the KIS templates

Hi, I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your message as I've not been logged in much. Thanks for saving my templates from possible imminent doom, that was great of you. Though that doom never came, for that good deed, I give you this:

Hey, thanks! I'm glad you appreciated it! If you want to keep any of the ones you made in your own userspace, just move them per WP:UM. ;) PC-XT (talk) 05:57, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gun.Smoke, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Yashichi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I know the bot won't read this, but thanks for reminding me. Maybe I'll put this on some project talk page, too... Yashichi is actually what got me started on DPL. The disambiguation page had more info than anywhere else I could find, but it didn't seem right after I linked to it, so I researched, and tried fixing some others to practice. It was fun, and apparently so distracting that, somehow, I forgot to go back and finish the first one. :S I hope that doesn't give me an unfair point on that list or something... It's ok to clear my score, if you want. I didn't do it for points, anyway. It's actually fun to just fix them, regardless. :) -PC-XT+ 03:03, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A Response from Daemox (talk) 23:07, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Howdy PC-XT,

You left a message on my talk page a month or so back, but I have been pre-occupied with school and nerding out on Arch Linux. My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I will take another look at the KIS project here as soon as feasible. I think I will be creating a new account as I want to change my username but it is not looking like that is feasible (neither here nor there, but I'll probably get back to you with the new account).

Cheers!

Hey, nice to see you! I've been away, too. Any thoughts you have on KIS will be welcome. BTW, I like Arch Linux principles, myself. (I haven't tried it, yet, but hope to.) I'll expect to see you on a new name. -PC-XT+ 05:18, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kurdish separatism in Iran article

Hi, i would like to notify you that articles Kurdish separatism in Iran and Rebellions in Iranian Kurdistan are proposed to be merged. Previously a related discussion was held at proposal to rename "Kurdish separatism in Iran" -> "Kurdish insurgency in modern Iran" (WP:RM was rejected). In addition, the template:Campaignbox Kurdish separatism in Iran was later split ([1] into new template:Campaignbox Kurdish–Iranian conflict, but was consequently remerged via a community consensus (see discussion). Current merger discussion is held at Kurdish separatism in Iran#Proposed merge with Kurdish separatism in Iran.Greyshark09 (talk) 08:09, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I may reply at Talk:Kurdish separatism in Iran#Proposed merge with Kurdish separatism in Iran. -PC-XT+ 03:00, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Can you offer your opinion on which photo would be better for the Rebecca Housel Infobox in this discussion? If you are unable to, I understand; you don't have to reply to this message. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 03:36, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have been absent for over a month, but I will look at the photos, now. :) -PC-XT+ 02:09, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. NENAN

Thank you for quoting and pinging me. I'd completely forgotten making that remark! Usually my comments are too long and complicated. I see from from your user page you haven't been well. However, judging from your editing you are fully recovered. Best wishes. Thincat (talk) 11:00, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I had a similar impression after reading WP:NENAN, but it wasn't really solidified, yet. Your comment said the same thing I was thinking, only better, really cementing it, using its navbox section to make it clear. So, I felt I should post it in that discussion, since it seemed to fit right in, and I'm glad it made you happy. Yes, I'm feeling a lot better, now. Thank you. I need to update my user page... —PC-XT+ 11:32, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox Photo Discussion

Hi. Can you offer your opinion in this discussion regarding the better photo for an article Infobox? Thanks, and Happy Holidays. Nightscream (talk) 23:49, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the barnstars! In answer to your question, could you change it to a geography one? By the way, does your username refer to the computer of the same name? Green Giant (edits) (talk) 10:51, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
