The sub-group consists of Infinite members Dongwoo and Hoya. The sub-group debuted with their mini album titled "Fly High".[1]

History

2012: Pre-debut, new album release and first performance

Before Infinite's summer concert, “INFINITE CONCERT That Summer”, which was held on August 8, 2012, Woollim Entertainment made a surprising revelation that Hoya and Dongwoo will reveal a new song under the subunit ‘INFINITE H’. The song will be performed during the concert for the first time. The agency had also revealed that they decided to release the song to show their thanks to fans who have showed love and support to Infinite. The new song was created by the talented producers Primary and Zion.T.

The subunit has already received much love from fans for their performances of “Crying” and “You Look Good”. Though they will reveal new song during the concerts, the agency currently has no plans if the duo will perform on music broadcasts.[2]

It was announced by a Woollim Entertainment representative that, “After finishing up their Japan activities, INFINITE’s Dongwoo and Hoya have started recording for INFINITE H’s album.” and that Infinite H would be promoting as a sub-unit in 2013.[3]

Prior to their debut, it was announced that Infinite H would be performing for the first time as a duo on ‘M! Countdown‘! on December 20, 2012. It was also stated that the group would be kicking off their promotions in January.[4]

2013: Debut with "Fly High"

On January 1, 2013 (KST), Infinite H released their first teaser image on Infinite's official website titled "Fly High".[5] A second teaser image was again uploaded onto Infinite's official website on January 4, 2013.

After a series of video teasers, the music video for title track "Special Girl" was released on January 10, 2013 on Woollim Entertainment's official YouTube channel and following the music video's release, the duo also performed the song and their follow up track "Without You" on M! Countdown on the same day.[6][7] As soon as the album was released, “Special Girl” ranked #1 on Naver, Daum, Nate, and other major music charts. Not only so, but the other songs such as “Victorious Way“, “Without You“, “I Can’t Tell You“, and “Fly High“, have all ranked within the top 10.[8]

Infinite H also performed on various music programs to promote their new album.
