Lulu James (born in Tanzania c. 1992) is a British soul artist whose sound blends ambient, atmospheric vocals with electro, dubstep and tribal beats.[1]

Born in Tanzania, she moved to the United Kingdom when she was 6 and settled in Newcastle in North England. She started performing locally when she was 19. Enrolling on a music development course, she met her producer and co-writer Domzilla.[2] Her debut tunes like "Rope Mirage", "The End", "Closer" and particularly "Sweetest Thing" have attracted great attention. "Sweetest Thing" has charted in Denmark. Lulu James is currently recording her debut album.
