The Hickey family owned it until 1950, when it was sold to the [[Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco|Salesian Sisters]]. In 2000 it was bought by a Chicago businesman who never lived in it. Slevoir (Sliabh Mhaghair in Irish)[1] is a townland in the Barony of Ormond Lower, North Tipperary, Ireland. It is located in the Civil Parish of Terryglass overlooking Slevoir Bay, the most north-eastern part of Lough Derg
It is the birthplace of Sir William Bernard Hickie (b1865)
