Linda Barker, from Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK, first made her name in the television show Changing Rooms as one of the designers. She was renowned for making plain, simple designs which people did not mind.

After Changing Rooms, she appeared in the reality TV show I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!. After being eliminated Barker gained fans who adored her down to earth charm. She also adopted a glamourous image being featured in lads magazine shoots and made a best-selling Yoga DVD.

In 2004, Barker hosted the ITV reality game Building the Dream.

Today Barker writes, publishes design books, writes her column for the weekend Daily Express Magazine and has even been honoured on "This Is Your Life"

Presonal life

Linda manages to keep her private life, private. She is married to TV executive husband Chris Short, and has a daughter, Jessica. Trying for more children, Barker suffered traumatic miscarriages and decided to give up [1]
