Aurélien Cotentin better known by his stage name Orelsan stylized as OrelSan (born 1 August 1982 in Alençon, Orne), is a French hip hop and rap artist.
Controversy
Controversy erupted involving some of his work with misogynist lyrics of "Sale pute" (meaning Dirty slut in English) with French radio stations censoring it due to protests from feminists[1]. He was also censored of performing it during that year's Francofolies de La Rochelle festival.[2] Orelsan apologized later on and dropped the song from his repertoire.[3]
