Biowolf is a blue-armored, white-haired, werewolf-like E.V.O. with enormous claws. Fiercely loyal to Van Kleiss, whom he calls "master." Due to Van Kleiss' powers being limited to his native soil in early episodes, Biowulf initially acts as the Pack's de-facto leader in the field. He is captured in Payback, but is apparently freed by Breach. He is extremely loyal and faithful to his master, despite Van Kleiss tiring of his constant failures.

In "Assault on Abysus," Biowulf is shown to have taken over the pack after what happened to Van Kleiss. He and the other E.V.O.s that served Van Kleiss end up helping Rex find the Meta-Nanite at the same time when Black Knight's men attacked Abysus. Biowulf and Circe managed to buy Rex some time to get away with the Meta-Nanite resulting in their capture.

Skalamander is a large humanoid lizard-like E.V.O. with crystal spikes growing out of his body, four short stubby legs and a crystal club growing out of his left arm. His head also appears to be permanently twisted to its side. He can fire spikes out of the club or grow it into a shield. In "Payback," Skalamander took part in Van Kleiss' attack on Providence. He had Dr. Holiday cornered until she unleashed her sister on him. He was presumably captured and later rescued by Breach.

Breach is a mentally disturbed black-haired female E.V.O. with four arms where the higher pair has oversized forearms. She has the ability to create crimson red-colored swirling portals of varying shapes and sizes for multiple purposes. Of all the Pack members, she speaks the least and acts on her own whims and desires. She also uses a pocket dimension to hold a city she stole (Greenville, Ohio), which she uses to store her "toys" (referring to anything she liked, i.e., art, stolen property, E.V.O., etc.). Breach is obsessed with everything in this dimension being "neat, clean and orderly", it being the only way she could maintain her sanity. In "Breach," she attempted to trap Rex, but this backfired when Rex went on a rampage after learning of her huge obsession with cleanliness. In doing so, he drove Breach mad, causing her to collapse in on herself, allowing him to escape in the chaos. She eventually recovered returning in "What Lies Beneath," to rescue a recently resurrected Van Kleiss at the last minute. Breach later took part in Van Kleiss' attack on Providence Base where she planted bombs throughout the base. Though Rex managed to disarm the bombs, Breach got away. Breach later stole a reactor core bound for Providence while Van Kleiss was fighting Rex. In "Hard Target," Breach goes to Hong Kong, China, to free Quarry from Providence's prison on Van Kleiss' orders.

It is unknown what happened to either Breach or Van Kleiss after that. Despite the way Rex and Breach have come into conflict, it appears that she has a possible crush on him, thanking him for treating her kindly at the end of "Lions and Lambs," and hugging him goodbye.

Black Knight is the next Providence leader after White Knight rebelled against his superiors in the Consortium. When she took over Providence, she started to run things much different than the way White Knight had. She believes in controlling the uncurable E.V.O.s as rather than trying to cure them (César is revealed to share a similar belief considering it the most logical conclusion, designing the technology they use to control E.V.O.s). This way, she and her superiors would turn them into little more than obedient slaves. At first, she tries to work with Rex instead of trying to control and manipulate him. But when it becomes clear Rex is against what she and his older brother are doing, she orders César (who does not hesitate one bit) to use the mind-controlling and brainwashing machine on his younger brother. Before this can be done, Rex is saved from Black Knight's men by Agent Six and Dr. Holiday (who had infiltrated Providence disguised as Black Knight's soldiers). In "Riddle of the Sphinx," Black Knight obtained some hieroglyphics which mentioned Van Kleiss' involvement in the creation of Gharun Set. In "Black and White," she and César planned to start the next Nanite Event in a plan to restore Dr. Gabriel Rylander. During White Knight's raid, she ended up fighting White Knight in the room that used to be White Knight's office. White Knight did obtain a confession from Black Knight that he might use if he is brought before the Consortium. In "Deadzone," Black Knight and her henchmen failed to obtain a nerdy human E.V.O. called Fitzy Feakins to make E.V.O. capturing much easier and more simpler. This forced her to take much more aggressive action against Rex.

Although Rex managed to get away with the Meta-Nanite, Black Knight's men managed to capture Circe, Biowulf, Skalamander, and the other unnamed E.V.O.s that served Van Kleiss.

Circe is a human teenage female E.V.O. with straight shoulder-length black hair that has been dyed deep red halfway down, whose special abilities and powers only manifest when active like Rex's abilities. When activated, her mouth transforms into a huge fanged grotesque tube, from which she uses to project incredibly strong and destructive ultrasonic blasts, sonic bursts, sonic pulses, and sonic waves, which also mystically lures and summons other E.V.O.s to her, like a siren. She is also quite skilled in basic hand-to-hand combat. She tells Rex she has joined up with the Pack because she feels like too much of an outsider anywhere else, though Rex constantly tries to get her to switch sides due to his strong feelings for her. Van Kleiss acknowledges her blossoming romance with Rex, and allows her to join the Pack, even though Rex had helped her in her initiation of defeating a giant sea monster E.V.O. He implies that he intends to use her to get to Rex. Rex has strong romantic feelings for her, and she seems to return them on the same romantic love level, as they almost attempt a passionate kiss, although Rex puts defeating Van Kleiss first over their growing romantic relationship. Despite that Circe was almost left for dead by Van Kleiss when he bargained Rex to join the Pack or let his closest friends die in "What Lies Beneath," Circe still remains with the Pack. After the events in "Alliance," Circe strikes out on her own, after Van Kleiss forbids her from helping Rex against the vengeful NoFace. In "Hard Target," it is revealed that she is happily living with Rex's old E.V.O. gang (Tuck, Skwydd, and Cricket) in Hong Kong, China. It is also shown that she has a friendly platonic crush on Skwydd much to Rex's confusion and hurt. Though she has assured Rex that they are just good friends on a strictly friendly, platonic level and nothing more, She has been shown to still have feelings for Rex. Her feelings were proven after she kissed Rex before been taken by Providence.

When Abysus is attacked by Black Knight's men, Circe and Biowulf end up buying Rex some time to get away with the Meta-Nanite. It is here that her feelings were proven after she kissed Rex before been taken by Providence.

Tuck is a teenage E.V.O. whom Rex had known in the past. Tuck's appearance is mummy-like as he is made of bandage-like filaments. He wears a black torn shirt with brown pants, and appears to be hollow inside. He was one of Rex's best friends in the past, possibly knowing him the longest. The following is list of characters the appear in the cartoon series, Generator Rex.

Main Characters

Rex Salazar

Rex Salazar is the protagonist of the series. Rex is a young amnesiac E.V.O. with the ability to grow various numerous machines out of his body. He can also use his nanites to communicate with and control nearby machines, and to absorb active nanites from some other E.V.O.s, curing them. Control of his powers is linked to his emotional state, and can fail with low self-confidence, agitation or inner conflict. As shown in the episodes 'Plague' and 'Rampage', his powers can also fail when worn-out and tired. Rex experiences frustration in the tightly controlled environment of Providence, which he often vents through elaborate displays of disobedient behavior such as repeatedly breaking out of the base to go on "road trips" with Bobo. Rex sometimes voices fears that he may experience another blackout and forget his current life and friends. The series initially shrouds his past in mystery, slowly revealing it bit-by-bit; a fragmentary reconstruction of it can be assembled from various episodes.[1] In "Mixed Signals," Rex learns that his last name is "Salazar," that his parents were scientists named Rafael and Violetta, and that his older brother is named Caesar. He also learns that he was born in Geneva, Switzerland, during his parent's travels around the world, while his father was from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and his mother was from Mexico City, Mexico. When Rex was ten years old, his family was part of the nanite-technology research project in Abysus. Rex was severely injured, with an experimental nanite-related treatment administered by his parents' colleague Dr. Gabriel Rylander his only hope for survival. The cure apparently works; however, as a side effect, Rex begins manifesting E.V.O. powers, in the form of bio-mechanical machines. The Nanite-Release Event occurs around this point; Rex becomes separated from his family. His parents' fate has not been elaborated upon, but it is implied they were killed in the Event, while his brother Caesar escaped (and was trapped) in a superluminal spacecraft. Rex surfaced as an E.V.O. street-gang leader in Hong Kong, China, suffering from periodic amnesia-causing blackouts. At some point after that, he was retrieved by Providence after transforming into a rampaging robotic E.V.O.; his present set of memories begin at this point. Rex's powers come in the form of "builds," machine enhancements his nanites can generate seemingly out of thin air. Until "Crash and Burn", only one build is ever shown being manifested at a time, with the exception of one brief scene in "Without a Paddle." In the first season, builds include robotic arms/hands (called "Smack Hands" by Rex), robotic legs/feet ("Punk Busters"), a sword/rotary saw ("Big Fat Sword" or BFS), a bazooka-like cannon ("Slam Cannon"), a ducted-fan -pack ("Boogie Pack") (also capable of working underwater), and a hover-bike ("Rex Ride"). During the second season, Rex gains additional builds after the Omega-1 nanite he had been injected with by Dr. Rylander spontaneously activates. Whereas the first-season builds have a purely mechanical character and a predominantly orange color scheme, the second season builds seem to be energy-based, with a blue color scheme. They include a backpack dynamo with an electrified, extensible whip-like tentacle ("Blast Caster"), a pair of extending fists which can rotate and generate energy shock-waves ("Funchucks"),a pair of energy-enhanced hand axes ("Battle Axes"), a pair of force-field generating arms ("Block Party"), and a hover board ("Rex Board"). In 'Written in Sand', Rex learns that the Omega-One nanite has a nanite self-replicating function, allowing him to make his own nanites. In the episode 'Haunted' it's revealed that he can now successfully cure non-humans, whereas in the first season he could only cure humans. In "Crash and Burn", he gaines the ability to use two builds at once. In "A Family Holiday", Rex helps Dr. Holiday cure her sister Beverly along with Six. Beverly is fully cured and Rex is immediately smitten with her (she is also around the same age as him). He reveals to Six that he realizes that Dr. Holiday is a little too old for him and decides to focus his attentions on Beverly instead. At the end of the episode, Rex takes Beverly out on a date at the mall. At the end of "Lions and Lambs," Rex finds himself six months into the future due to Breach's powers, and in "Back in Black," he joins White Knight's resistance movement.

Agent Six

Agent Six is a senior Providence agent and Rex's handler. He wears a green suit with a black tie and black sunglasses; it is implied he is very particular about his choice of attire, as he owns an entire closetful of identical suits. He has a humorless by-the-book personality, following orders above all else. He tends to treat Rex somewhat coolly, but has also shown a soft spot for him. Six is proficient in several forms of martial arts, is in excellent shape, and wields a pair of fold-up katanas that can slice through most materials with ease. These katanas also have magnetic properties when joined together into a shape similar to a tuning fork. In "Divided By Six," it revealed that Six is part of an informal group with five other skilled fighters known as "The Six", and that his name represents his being the sixth most dangerous person in the world. Six also revealed that "One" (the most dangerous person in the world) had taken Six in when he was homeless and trained him. In "A Family Holiday", it is revealed that Six may have romantic feelings for Dr. Holiday. At the end of the episode he asks her out to have dinner together, to which she accepts. In "Six Minus Six," Agent Six loses his current memories of the last six years, but has agreed to let go of the past and start learning how to become the Six that everyone else knows. In "Back in Black," it was mentioned to Rex by Black Knight that Dr. Holiday and Agent Six were out looking for Rex when he was "missing" for six months. It is later revealed that Dr. Holiday, Agent Six, and Bobo Haha have sided with White Knight in his resistance against Black Knight's beliefs when Dr. Holiday and Agent Six secretly rescued Rex from Black Knight.

Bobo Haha

Bobo Haha is a talking E.V.O. chimp and Rex's sidekick. He wears an eye patch and fez. Aside from the ability to talk, he seems to be a completely normal chimpanzee. He wields a pair of laser pistols in combat. Before the nanite event, he was a therapy chimpanzee trained to entertain children at a hospital. In "Robo Bobo," Bobo created a robot with a "nice" personality, which annoyed Rex. The Robot Bobo was used as a decoy for Providence when the Real Bobo went out somewhere for "Bobo time." In "Back in Black," it is revealed that Bobo Haha had programmed Robo Bobo into taking his place when Black Knight took over Providence at the time when Rex was "missing" for six months. He, alongside Agent Six, Dr. Holiday, and White Knight, is fighting against Black Knight and her harsh extreme measures against all of E.V.O.-kind.

Dr. Rebecca Holiday

Dr. Rebecca Holiday is the lead scientist for Providence. She is usually seen wearing a lab coat, an orange top, a skirt, and knee-high boots. She has green eyes and her hair is tied in a formal bun on the top of her head for the most part. She is depicted as the polar opposite of Agent Six, as she is much more in-tune with her emotions, in contrast to Agent Six's stoic nature. She is one of the few who see Rex as more than a machine. Rex frequently flirts with her to no effect. She seems to have unrequited feelings for Six and repeatedly tries to convince him to try to relate to Rex, as she understands what he goes through with his amnesia and the pressure put on him by Providence. In "Lockdown," it is revealed that she has a younger sister named Beverly, who is an uncurable spider-like E.V.O. In "Promises, Promises," it was shown that she used to work under Dr. Fell (who was the lead scientist for Providence at the time) in Providence's early days. In "A Family Holiday", with help from Six and Rex, she finally manages to cure her sister Beverly. It is also revealed she really does care for Six when she frantically tries to revive him with CPR, after he is almost killed in the explosion of the machine they were using to cure Beverly (Six survived). Her younger sister starts living temporarily with her at Providence and Six asks Hoilday out on a date.

Noah Nixon

Noah Nixon is Rex's human best friend. He was initially recruited by White Knight and assigned to an undercover post as Rex's friend, as a means of giving Rex an outlet for his anti-authority impulses. He is blond, a good student, and a skilled table-tennis player. While a normal human, he has some combat ability, having taken kick-boxing lessons and also having passed through Providence boot camp. The truth about his association with White Knight is revealed in "Lockdown" in which while furious at first, Rex forgives Noah for the deception. In "Rampage," Noah is briefly turned into an E.V.O. by Van Kleiss, but is cured by Rex. His last name is not mentioned until "Without a Paddle." In "Phantom of the Soap Opera," it is shown that Noah has gotten a job at a local movie studio.

White Knight

White Knight is the leader of Providence and the only nanite-free human on the planet. He had been trapped in a molecular-dissection chamber during Providence's early days, though a young Rex deactivated it before it could completely vaporize him. Instead, it only destroyed his nanites and left his hair white. As the only person on Earth who cannot go E.V.O., he is also the only one who can be trusted to lead the organization. He is characterized by a grim determination to stop the E.V.O. threat, and will go to any lengths necessary to accomplish this goal, including the destruction of entire cities. He is initially somewhat harsh and distrustful toward Rex, but is willing to use him, and appears to gradually accept him more as the series progresses. White Knight can only leave his rooms at Providence HQ in an armored hazmat suit and therefore mostly communicates with his subordinates via viewscreen. He does occasionally venture out in a set of powered armor, but only in serious emergencies. The room that he resides in is equipped with a powerful electromagnet in the floor to trap stray nanites as the electro-magnet is incredibly strong however and able to restrain E.V.O.s when on low setting. At full power, the magnet is able to rip the nanites from an E.V.O.'s body. It is revealed that before the accident that destroyed his nanites, he was partners with Agent Six in Providence's earlier years. In "Back in Black," it is revealed that White Knight answers to his superiors in the Consortium. When White Knight ended up going against the Directorate, he donned his armor and fled Providence HQ during an explosion causing the Directorate to place Black Knight in charge. It turns out that he alongside Agent Six, Dr. Holiday, and Bobo Haha have formed a resistance against the beliefs of Black Knight after Agent Six and Dr. Holiday rescue Rex from Black Knight. Because of this, White Knight is always seen in his armored suit. In "Black and White," White Knight ends up having Rex, Agent Six, Dr. Holiday, and Bobo Haha partake in a raid on Providence HQ after hearing that Black Knight and César had returned from the South American jungle where Dr. Ryland's lab was. He does end up engaging Black Knight in the room where his special office used to be. Following the raid, White Knight learns from Rex about Cesar's mentioning of the Meta-Nanites which Black Knight is now targeting.

Van Kleiss is the primary antagonist of the series. Van Kleiss appears to know quite a bit about Rex, and knows what caused the nanite incident. He saw the nanite incident as the dawn of a new age for humanity, and seeks to create a world populated entirely by E.V.O.s. Like Rex, he is able to control his nanites; unlike Rex however, his mutation is unstable and requires a constant supply of fresh nanites, extracted from other E.V.O.s, who are petrified in the process. He does this with needles on his gauntlet that go into the E.V.O. With his E.V.O. enforcers, the Pack, he has established a domain called Abysus at the original site of the nanite explosion, and has seeded nanites for miles in the area. As a result, he can control everything in his sphere of influence, and even regenerate completely from the ground if his body is destroyed. He has a highly extensive knowledge of the nanites, having apparently worked on or been familiar with the experiment which released them, and about Rex's past. He is killed in "Dark Passage" while attempting to secure Dr. Gabriel Rylander's nanite laboratory, but is resurrected in "What Lies Beneath" by his followers and Rex, to prevent Abysus from becoming unstable. Rex cures him shortly thereafter. In doing so however, he gives Van Kleiss the means to study his nanites, which Van Kleiss then uses to gain the power to create E.V.O.s by touch, leaving a handprint-mark. E.V.O.s created by Van Kleiss are extremely unstable, meaning that the transformation becomes permanent if not cured within a time limit. Curiously in the first season finale, "Payback" when Van Kleiss drained Rex of his active nanites, Rex wasn't petrified. This was most likely because Van Kleiss was not able to absorb the Omega-One nanite that Dr. Rylander had injected into Rex, thus protecting him from becoming petrified like Van Kleiss' other victims. In "Lions and Lambs," Van Kleiss attaches a device to Breach in a plot to travel through time. When Breach ends up sending Van Kleiss away in a bright golden-colored time portal, Breach starts to disappear as Rex is mysteriously transported six months into the future where Providence is run by a woman called Black Knight. It is unknown what happened to either Breach or Van Kleiss after that. In "Riddle of the Sphinx," Black Knight had obtained some hieroglyphics which mentioned Van Kleiss' involvement in the creation of Gharun Set.

The Pack

The Pack is a group of E.V.O.s that serve Van Kleiss. Its members include:

Biowulf

Biowolf is a blue-armored, white-haired, werewolf-like E.V.O. with enormous claws. Fiercely loyal to Van Kleiss, whom he calls "master." Due to Van Kleiss' powers being limited to his native soil in early episodes, Biowulf initially acts as the Pack's de-facto leader in the field. He is captured in "Payback" during the assault on Providence's base, but is apparently freed by Breach.

Skalamander

Skalamander is a large humanoid lizard-like E.V.O. with crystal spikes growing out of his body, four short stubby legs and a crystal club growing out of his left arm. His head also appears to be permanently twisted to its side. He can fire spikes out of the club or grow it into a shield. In "Payback," Skalamander took part in Van Kleiss' attack on Providence. He had Dr. Holiday cornered until she unleashed her sister on him. He was presumably captured and later rescued by Breach. In "Assault on Abysus," Skalamander and the E.V.O.s that served Van Kleiss end up assisting Rex into finding the Meta-Nanite at the same time when Black Knight's men attacked Abysus. Skalamander ends up captured by Black Knight's men.

Breach

Despite the way Rex and Breach have come into conflict, it appears that she has a possible crush on him, thanking him for treating her kindly at the end of "Lions and Lambs," and hugging him goodbye.

ZAG-RS

ZAG-RS is an AI whose goal is to destroy the nanite infestation of Earth. Its origin and motives are initially left mysterious, but it is able to exert control over the nanites at very short ranges. It makes several different attempts to achieve its goal; its methods have in common that they would also destroy everything infected with nanites, including all organic life on Earth, a prospect to which ZAG-RS is apparently indifferent. The AI has no permanent form, being a program capable of uploading itself into computers and autonomous devices. It speaks in a synthesized female voice. In "The Architect," ZAG-RS attempts to transmit a self-destruct command to all nanites on Earth. Rex manages to destroy its broadcast antenna, but the AI escapes by uploading its program to a new location. In "Gravity," ZAG-RS infiltrates a Providence space station in order to secure a strain of nanite-disabling nanites that it had secretly helped develop. Rex and Dr. Holiday are able to deorbit the station, destroying the nanites. In "Written in Sand," Rex and Van Kleiss separately arrive in a desert location to investigate a mysterious sandstorm, and find themselves trapped in a network of nanite-annihilating tunnels created by ZAG-RS. Van Kleiss reveals that ZAG-RS dates to the Nanite Project, having originally been a decontamination program designed by Caesar to contain and eliminate stray nanites. In addition to the tunnels, ZAG-RS had spent the time since its fall from orbit constructing a giant robotic form for itself, which Rex and Van Kleiss fight and defeat. Later, Caesar admits that ZAG-RS had indeed been his creation; he brings its damaged hardware back online so it can be interrogated, but while it recognizes Caesar it appears to have been reformatted, and its memory wiped. It is left unclear whether this was done by Caesar or Van Kleiss. After Rex mocks the AI for its "GPS lady voice," Caesar reveals that he had modeled ZAG-RS' voice after that of their deceased Mexican mother, Violetta.

Agent Weaver

Agent Weaver is a former member of Providence stationed at the arctic "Paradise" base where he was the chief technician. He and his crew were revealed to be traitors who were reactivating and selling nanites to Van Kleiss. In "Frostbite," he accidentally turned himself into a monstrous 50-foot, tentacled E.V.O. after he accidentally destabilized the containment unit. When Rex was unable to fully cure him due to the excessive amount of nanites he absorbed, Weaver was defeated by Agent Six and knocked down when Dr. Holiday rammed the ship into him. In "Basic," it was revealed that Weaver was extracted from the arctic and locked up in the E.V.O.-Fighting Cage at the Providence Training Camp. Due to a malfunction caused by a jealous Kenwyn Jones, Weaver and the other E.V.O.s got out. Weaver remembered Rex during his fight with the E.V.O.s. Rex manages to knock Weaver back into the pit.

Hunter Cain

Hunter Cain is a human who despises all E.V.O.s under all circumstances (including Rex) as he went insane after his wife became E.V.O. He uses a weapon loaded with special bullets that forces Nanites to self-destruct, vaporizing an E.V.O in an instant. First appearing in The Hunter, he disrupts Rex from curing an E.V.O. and damages Providence's reputation by claiming that they lied to the public for years; Hunter Cain states E.V.O.s are created by diseases spread from person to person rather than the Nanites. Rex is soon defamed after being attacked by civilians and injuring one accidentally. Later in the episode, a swarm of Phantom-like E.V.O.s attack the docks, which Cain's private army dispatches. After Rex arrives and fights Cain one-on-one in a lone area, and the Hunter reveals that he had cloned the Phantom E.V.O.s to create his army and prove Providence's ineffectiveness, which the whole statement was caught on News. After a rough battle, Rex ties up Cain and leaves him for Providence to arrest, and his not-so loyal army disbands at the end of the episode. Hunter Cain returns in "Night Falls" along with a new army to dispatch Rex's adoptive family who suddenly turn into Werewolf-like E.V.O.s during the night. Hunter Cain informs Rex that he ran out of his special bullets replacing them with regular ones that "hurt just as bad." During the skirmish between the E.V.O.s and Cain's army, Hunter Cain reveals that he escaped Providence using "cold hard cash" as "not everyone in Providence are E.V.O. lovers." Hunter Cain is eventually chased off by the Werewolf-like E.V.O.s, and Rex remarks that they will be ready for his return.

NoFace

NoFace is a supremely powerful and vengeful faceless E.V.O. with the ability to communicate with intelligent E.V.O.s and control the less intelligent ones. During the nanite event the Gulf Stream funneled a huge amount of active nanites into the city of Kiev, Ukraine transforming nearly all that lived there into extremely powerful E.V.O.s. Among them was their current leader NoFace. In response to the chaos, all humans were evacuated and the city quarantined via a massive one-way spherical force field. In "The Forgotten," NoFace spotted Captain Callan's ship and shot it down, forcing Calan and his crew to try and repair it, hoping to use it to escape the city with the data rod containing important information to Providence. NoFace knew they would send in more ships to retrieve the rod and would continue to shoot them down until he had the means of escaping. His plot failed due to Rex's interference and a self-destruct device Calan had secret planted in the ship he repaired. NoFace has alluded to something called "the before", and during a battle with Rex he said "You are not the before". It is currently unknown what this means, it might mean the people before their transformations. In "Alliance," Van Kleiss and the Pack infiltrated the Bug Jar in order to form an alliance with NoFace. After Circe captures Rex, NoFace agrees to join Van Kleiss if he is allowed to humiliate Rex. Van Kleiss agrees, and NoFace takes Rex to an arena, where he severely beats him up. However, when Van Kleiss refused to let NoFace kill Rex because he still needed him "alive", he and his E.V.O.s attacked the Pack, severing ties with Van Kleiss and the Pack. In the crossover special, it is assumed that the Alpha Nanite killed No-Face, as it had absorbed all the E.V.O.s in Kiev.

Quarry

Quarry is an E.V.O. crime lord who is made of rock. He would hunt down and force E.V.O.s like Tuck, Skwydd, and Cricket to work for him through this having gathered a massive criminal empire. In "Rabble," he learned of Rex's return from his enforcer Knuckles after Rex drained him of his nanites. Quarry had to dispose of Knuckles after that. He later revealed that once upon a time Rex was his top lieutenant and he traded Tuck, Cricket, and Skwydd, whom he had befriended, for his freedom. His defeat came at the hands of Rex who now had no idea about his past including his dealings with Quarry and showed no mercy in defeating him, in the process regaining the trust and friendship of the three E.V.O.s he had betrayed. He is sneaky and deceitful and some say he lied about Rex's betrayal to keep his power. Rex managed to defeat Quarry and his loyal E.V.O. servants and he was then arrested by Providence. In "Hard Target," Van Kleiss has Breach spring Quarry from his imprisonment only for him to trick Breach into telling him about the dangerous ultimate weapon Van Kleiss wants him to steal and steals it for himself. Rex defeats Quarry and trades him to Breach in exchange for Circe, who Breach had kidnapped earlier. Breach takes Quarry to Van Kleiss, so that he can take the blame for her "failure."

Black Knight

In "Assault on Abysus," Black Knight promotes her E.V.O.-Controlling campaign on TV by capturing any E.V.O.'s that are still free. Her men even managed to capture Tuck, Skwydd, and Cricket when they searched Hong Kong. Black Knight leads her forces to Abysus where the Meta-Nanite is held. Although Rex managed to get away with the Meta-Nanite, Black Knight's men managed to capture Circe, Biowulf, Skalamander, and the other unnamed E.V.O.s that served Van Kleiss.

Allies

Captain Calan

Member of Providence. He would usually be sent in with his group in the event that anything E.V.O.-related doesn't go right. In "Payback," Captain Calan was turned into a spider-like E.V.O. by Van Kleiss, but was cured by Rex. In "Black and White," Captain Calan and some Providence soldiers are shown to still be loyal to White Knight despite the fact that Black Knight is running Providence. Though White Knight's group and Captain Calan had to make it look convincing to Black Knight by taking the fall against White Knight's group.

Circe

In "Assault on Abysus," Circe shows up at White Knight's base informing White Knight's group that Black Knight has captured Tuck, Skwydd, and Cricket. Circe leads Rex to Abysus where the Meta-Nanite is yet had to reason with Biowulf to help them. When Abysus is attacked by Black Knight's men, Circe and Biowulf end up buying Rex some time to get away with the Meta-Nanite. It is here that her feelings were proven after she kissed Rex before been taken by Providence.

César Salazar

César Salazar is Rex's older brother, a genius-level scientist once highly placed in the Nanite Project, being the creator of ZAG-RS. While a prodigy, he also appears to be somewhat eccentric, even a bit deranged; when distracted by something he considers interesting, he may fail to recognize even serious dangers. During the Nanite Event, Rex and César's parents were apparently killed, while César escaped in his pod laboratory; some combination of damage from the explosion and the velocity imparted to the laboratory by it caused it to experience time dilation, catapulting it five years into the future while Caesar experienced only 15 minutes of subjective time. Dr. Holiday confirms he is related to Rex through DNA testing, and both appear very happy to be reunited. White Knight considers César a great asset to Providence, while Six considers him as major liability. In "Written in Sand," Van Kleiss hints that César might have been responsible for the original Nanite Event. This causes Rex to be wary of his older brother, though on later episodes he somehow doesn't take the warning seriously. When Rex ends up six months in the future following an incident with Breach, César seems to have allied himself with Black Knight for an unknown reason. During his time with Black Knight, he has also grown a goatee but appears to have shaved it in between the one-hour Ben 10/Generator Rex "Heroes United" special crossover. In "Black and White," Rex encounters César during White Knight's raid, where he has been put in charge of starting the second Nanite Event in the hopes of restoring Dr. Gabriel Rylander, whose residual energy was found by Providence. He had tried to explain to a positively angered and furious Rex, that he had only started the original Nanite Event to try and save the world.

Tuck

Tuck is a teenage E.V.O. whom Rex had known in the past. Tuck's appearance is mummy-like as he is made of bandage-like filaments. He wears a black torn shirt with brown pants, and appears to be hollow inside. He was one of Rex's best friends in the past, possibly knowing him the longest. In "Hard Target," it is obviously known that he has a small friendly platonic crush on Cricket. In "Assault on Abysus," Tuck (alongside Skwydd and Cricket) end up captured by Black Knight's men.

Skwydd

Skwydd is a teenage E.V.O. whom Rex had known in the past. Skwydd has tentacle-like, prehensile hair and hands, and skin tough enough to be used as a shield or blunt-force weapons. He is also able to shoot an ink-like mist out of his mouth for cover, to escape from tight situations. Skwydd returned in "Lost Weekend" where he was performing as entertainment along other E.V.O.s at a party in the Sonora Desert. In "Hard Target," it is obviously shown that he has a small friendly platonic crush on Circe, much to Rex's confusion and hurt, though he assures Rex that they are just good friends on a strictly platonic, friendly level and nothing more. In "Assault on Abysus," Skwydd (alongside Tuck and Cricket) end up captured by Black Knight's men. Skwydd does provide a smokescreen so that Circe can escape.

Cricket

Cricket is a teenage E.V.O. whom Rex had known in the past. Her E.V.O. powers are in the form of insect-like superhuman agility and strength, most noticeable in her legs, which are structured like a cricket's, hence her name. She has the ability to jump and leap long distances and kick her opponents with surprising leg strength. She is a bit shy around Rex, playing with her hair and smiling widely. She was also the first member of the gang to recognize his face. Tuck notes that she had "a crush on" him during his time in Hong Kong, though he "didn't notice it, or chose not to." She later kisses Rex on the cheek as he leaves. In "Hard Target", she is shown to have become good friends with Circe. She accidentally causes a big misunderstanding when she comments to Rex that Circe had evened out the boy/girl ratio (mistakenly making him think that Circe, Cricket, Tuck and Skwydd were all couples, when in actuality they are just "good friends" on a strictly platonic friend-to-friend level and nothing more). In "Assault on Abysus," Cricket (alongside Tuck and Skwydd) end up captured by Black Knight's men.

Beverly Holiday

Beverly Holiday is Dr. Holiday's younger sister, who turned into an incurable spider-like E.V.O. at the age of thirteen. Her older sister, Dr. Rebecca Holiday has been trying to find a cure for her ever since. In "A Family Holiday", she is kidnapped by Dr. Branden Moses, a scientist who claimed he can cure E.V.O.s, but is in reality turning them in bio-weapons. Rex and Six join Holiday in rescuing her sister from being turned into a weapon, only for Beverly to be turned into a much stronger and more powerful E.V.O. When Dr. Holiday fears that she cannot cure Beverly, Six manages to convince her that she can, and Hoilday realizes the metal in Six's blades could do the trick. Though Six almost died in the process (thankfully he was revived by Holiday). After Six is revived, a fully cured Beverly is seen standing next to Rex. After Beverly is seen living with her big sister at Providence. Rex has become quite taken with Beverly and both enjoy each other's company.

The Six

The Six are a group of mercenaries that consists of the six most dangerous people in the world. Each member's name goes by how dangerous they are. As noted by Agent Six in "Divided by Six," the ranking focuses on how dangerous they are which in turn is determined by skill level and personality. Besides Agent Six, among its members are:

One

One was the mentor of Dos, Trey, IV, Five and Six. He turned E.V.O. right after the Event but he was strong willed enough to suppress the vicious instincts that awoke within him through meditation. To protect his students and innocent people from his new destructive side, One ordered a cell built for himself in center of a volcano on a remote island. The cell contained a safety protocol: if One failed to enter the safety code every forty-one minutes, the whole room would collapse into a volcano killing everyone inside. When Rex tried to cure One, he escaped his containment, leading the group to track him, however after Rex tried to cure him again, One turned out to be an uncurable, leading Dos, Trey, IV, and Five to kill him by all means. Six objected, believing there was still hope for his master. When Rex tried to cure him again, One possessed Rex's body for a short time to bid farewell to his students. When Six said that he was going to take One home, One replied that he was already home, suggesting that he was with all the people in the world that he cared about (Dos, Trey, IV, Five, and Six). After his death, One bonded with the island and restored its natural balance, as Six puts out "He's still One. Just one with everything."

Dos

Dos (Spanish for Two) is an elderly Spanish gentleman whose teammates are Trey, IV, Five and Six. He is the second most dangerous man on the planet and the current leader of The Six. Due to being the second most dangerous man on the planet, his fighting skills are very proficient and he has remarkably quick reflexes. His main weapon is a cane that can be used as a laser pistol, a gas emitter, or sharpened into a blade. For instance, he managed to briefly fend off both Rex and Six simultaneously with his cane. His name is Dos because it is the Spanish word for two.

Trey

Trey (a play on Tres, the Spanish word for Three) is a large cajun man shown in Divide By Six. His teammates are Dos, IV, Five and Six and his mentor one. He is the third most dangerous man on the planet. Due to being the third most dangerous man on the planet, he has Giant fists that gives him above average strength. In "Six Minus Six," Trey along with Five encountered Six on the same mission. When they spotted Rex, he and Five reminded Six that no witness was allowed. Trey tried to remember the contract's description, yet eventually failed. At first they worked together to eliminate Rex, but soon affected by Rex's taunting words they were against each other. He and Five retreated once they were defeated by Six. His name is a play on "Trois", the French word for three.

IV

IV (Roman Numeral Four) is a mummy-like mercenary who was shown in the episode Divide By Six. His main weapon is the bandages that cover him, it seems he is able to control them. He can use them to bind opponents and can even use them to his own aid. His name comes from the Roman numeral for four. IV lost a finger(specifically his pinky) during a mission, which he apparently hold's as one of the other six's fault.

Five

Five is a pink-haired, Cockney-accented English rocker as shown by her unique sense of fashion and guitar. Along with Dos, Trey, IV and Six, she is the fifth most dangerous person on the planet and the only female member of The Six, making her the most dangerous woman. Five, along with the rest of the remaining members of The Six, kidnapped Rex for the purpose of curing One. Later, when One was proven incurable, she had agreed with the others that One should be killed so he could be put out of his misery. In "A Family Holiday," she later appears again providing Six with information on where the auction selling the supercharged E.V.O.s created by Dr. Branden Moses was being held. She later returns in "Six Minus Six" when both her and Trey appeared with Six when they encountered each other on the same mission. When they spotted Rex, she and Trey reminded Six that no witnesses were allowed. At first they worked together to eliminate Rex, but were soon affected by Rex's words and fought against each other. Five and Trey retreated once they were defeated by Six.

Dr. Gabriel Rylander

Dr. Gabriel Rylander is a scientist who has some relationship to the nanite event as well as Rex's past, and even claims he gave Rex his name. He only appeared in "Dark Passage," where he released active nanites around the world to other scientists related to the nanite event, which turned them into rampaging E.V.O.s. Providence was dispatched to apprehend and secure his research. Simultaneously, the Pack is en route. After dealing with much of battle between Providence and the Pack as well as Rylander's sentries, Rex enters Rylander's building. When the two meet, the scientist is elated. Rylander tells Rex things about the nanite event and that he has a brother. He then injects an odd large abnormal silver-colored nanite into Rex (which reveals it as a control nanite in Payback and named the Omega-One nanite in Mixed Signals) and says it is "everything." Rex becomes furious and demands answers to his past. Rylander apologizes, but before he can explain, Van Kleiss pushes him aside, knocking Rylander unconscious. When Rylander comes to his senses, he pushes Van Kleiss into a fusion reactor, disintegrating both him and Van Kleiss. Although Dr. Holiday says their mission was "all for nothing", Rex says that he learned that he has a brother and is closer to knowing his past than ever. Dr. Rylander was later referenced by Caesar Salazar. In "Black and White," Black Knight and Caesar had managed to obtain the residue of Rylander's energy in hopes that starting the next nanite Project.

Kenwyn Jones

Kenwyn Jones is a Providence agent who first appeared in "Basic" as a Providence cadet in the academy. She had joined because Providence saved her family, and wishes to repay her debt to them. In Lost Weekend, she is partnered with Rex in an investigation, having graduated from the academy and gained the rank of lieutenant.

Claire Bowman

Claire Bowman is a girl that Noah likes. Claire is best friends with clumsy girl name Annie. In "Operation: Wingman", Claire agrees to go to the prom with Noah if he can find Annie a date, Noah asks Rex to be his wingman (as he is only person capable of surviving a date with the clumsy Annie. Despite several setbacks (such as the destruction of their limo forcing them to use a Providence armored transport, almost missing the prom, and being attacked by a Rabbit E.V.O.), Claire and Annie enjoy their prom night with Noah and Rex. Claire (along with Annie) returns in the episode "Haunted" where she and Annie spend a night with Rex and Noah in a haunted house where a ghost cat-like E.V.O. was lurking.

Annie

Annie is a girl who is best friends with Claire. Annie is a notorious jinx as she is extremely clumsy and as a result she can't find a date for the prom in "Operation: Wingman" (as her clumsiness always ended up injuring her dates). When Claire was asked out by Noah, she told him she would go with him on the condition that he find Annie a date. Noah picked Rex as he was unaware of Annie's reputation and because Rex was the only person capable of surviving a date with her. Shockingly, Annie's clumsiness proves to be an asset when Rex uses it to blow the rabbit E.V.O. up with a heat seeker missile. After the prom, the girls agree this is the best date they ever had but Rex states that despite Annie being nice and cute, he'll never go on a date with her again. However in "Haunted", Noah once again convinces Rex to go on a date with her so he can go with Claire.
