Jean-François Breau (born in Hamilton, Ontario), Canada on 29 July 1978) is a Canadian singer-songwriter of Acadian origin.

Biography

Born in Hamilton, Ontario of an Acadian father originating from Tracadie–Sheila and a mother originating from Matane, the Gaspé Peninsula in Quebec, Jean-François Breau grew up in Tracadie-Sheila, on the Acadian Peninsula, in the Gloucester county of New Brunswick. He presently resides in Quebec.

After finishing his secondary education, Jean-Francois studies medicine. with Helath majour at University of Moncton's Shippagan Campus, to become a cardiologue. But his love of music prevailed.

He played the role of Gringoire in both French and English on the musical comedy Notre-Dame-de-Paris created by Luc Plamondon and Richard Cocciante.

In 2004, he took over the lead role in another musical comedy Don Juan of Félix Gray. His role was against the lead role of Marie-Ève Janvier.
