Islands District Council is located in New Territories consists of a peninsula and 236 islands.. The Council currently consists of 22 members with 10 of those elected through first-past the post system every four years, 8 ex officio members and the remainings appointed by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong at the start of a term. The latest election held in 2007.
