The 1996 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final was the 101st All-Ireland Final and the deciding match of the 1988 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, an inter-county Gaelic football tournament for the top teams in Ireland.
An extremely controversial and bad-tempered first game ended in a draw, Meath getting a lucky last-minute point. They won the replay by a point, with goals by Trevor Giles (penalty) and Tommy Diwd.[1]
