Hellinsia paleaceus is a moth of the Pterophoridae family. It is found in eastern North America, including Florida, Mississippi[2] Maryland and Montana[3]
The wingspan is about 20 mm.
The larvae feed on Vernonia gigantea, Vernonia missurica and Vernonia noveboracensis.[4] They feed on the young foliage of their host plant.
