After an investigation by [[Dyfed-Powys Police]], in September 2010 in a hearing at [[Aberystwyth]] [[Magistrates' Court]], owners Alan and Jean Mumbray admitted not having the correct paperwork for a commercial premises. Borth Animalarium is a small zoo, located in the small Welsh village of Borth, 7 miles north of Aberystwyth in the county of Ceredigion, Mid Wales.

History

The zoo is mainly a refuge for unwanted exotic pets, animals from other zoos made freely available for a variety of reasons, or whose natural environment is under threat.

Controversy
