John Flanagan (born 1 January 1993) is an English footballer who plays for Liverpool as a full back. He made his debut for Liverpool in the game against Manchester City on 11 April 2011.[1]

Born in Liverpool, during his time at the Liverpool academy Flanagan developed a reputation as a tough tackling right-back, known for his aerial ability and composure on the ball.[2]

While still in the U18 side, he made his reserve debut at Hull City F.C. in March 2010. Promoted to the reserve team at the start of 2010-11 season, he first featured in the Lancashire Senior Cup triumph over Oldham Athletic. He was subsequently picked out as one of the reserve team to watch by The Times sport writer Tony Barrett.[3]
