"Hail Mary" is the third and final single from Take That band member Mark Owen's third and final independently released solo studio album, How The Mighty Fall.[2] The single was released on December 2, 2005.[3] The single entered at #103 on the UK Singles Chart,[4] however, following the reunion of Take That later that month, peaked at #52.[5] The song was recorded at Sunset Studios in Los Angeles between August 2004 and January 2005. The single recieved little to no promotion due to the reunion of Take That. Owen describes the song as a "melody about having faith in love and how wonderful it can be."[6] The video for the track involves Owen playing a grand piano in a mansion hall, as well as lying on a bed while performing the song.
