The 4710th Air Defense Wing is an inactive United States Air Force organization. Its last assignment was with the 37th Air Division, being stationed at New Castle Airport, Delaware. It was inactivated on 8 July 1956.

Operations

Mission to Train and maintain tactical flying units in state of readiness in order to defend Northeast United States. Unit redesignated 82d Fighter-Interceptor Group and inactivated 8 Jul 1956 as part of ADC heritage program which reactivated notible units.
