Template:Future power station Borkum Riffgat is a 220 megawatt (MW) offshore wind farm being constructed 15km to the north-west of the German island of Borkum. The wind turbines will be built across an area of 6 sqkm and are expected to generate enough electricity for 112, 000 households. The project will entail investment of around €480m ($616m) and construction work is likely to be completed in 2012.[1][2]
