Detainee 002: The Case of David Hicks is a 2007 book by Leigh Sales. Detainee 002 explains how David Hicks, an Australian citizen, became involved in the War on Terror. Based on five years of reporting and many interviews, Sales explains the Hicks case, from his capture in Afghanistan to life in Guantanamo Bay. Detainee 002 was the winner of the 2007 George Munster Award for Independent Journalism.[1][2][3]
