The Hotel Metropol was a five-star luxury hotel in Vienna, Austria. It was located at the Morzinplatz, next to the Danube Canal.

It was one of the most expensive and exclusive hotel in Vienna. After the Anschluß in 1938, the jewish owners were forced to give it up. The Gestapo moved in and set up their headquarters there. The basement of the hotel was turned into jails and torture chambers of the victims of the Gestapo. During the war the hotel suffered heavy damages. It was not rebuilt and eventually torn down and replaced in the 1960s with a modern apartment-block. There is also a monument to the victims of Nazism where the entrance used to be
