Dian Grueneich serves on the California Public Utilities Commission overseeing the implementation of some of the most successful utility energy efficiency programs in the world. Ms. Grueneich plays a key role in helping to develop incentives that reward energy utilities for meeting energy-saving goals, pushing for good documentation and evaluation of programs, and advancing strong energy efficiency efforts as part of climate change action plans for California.[1]

Commissioner Grueneich earned a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 1977 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Stanford University in 1974. She is a recipient of the Charles Percy Award for Public Service.[2]
