Her paternal grandparents were [[Ernst Friedrich (Sachsen-Coburg-Saalfeld)|Ernst Friedrich]] and his wife princess Sofie [[Duchess Sophia Antonia of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel|Antoinette of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel]].

She was also the elder sister of King [[Leopold I of Belgium]] and the aunt of both [[Queen Victoria]] and her [[Prince Consort]] [[Albert, Prince Consort|Albert]].

==Marriage and Issue==
In Coburg on 17 November 1798, she married [[Alexander of Württemberg (1771-1833)|Alexander of Württemberg]]. The couple settled in Russia, were Alexander made a military and diplomatic career. They had five children:

Antoinette Ernestine Amalie, Princess of Sachsen-Coburg-Saalfeld (28 August 1779, Coburg - 14 March 1824, Saint Petersburg) was a German princess member of the House of Wettin and by marriage Duchess of Württemberg. Through his eldest surviving son, she is the ancestress of today's (Catholic) House of Württemberg.

Family

Antoinette was the second daughter of Francis, Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld and his wife, Countess Augusta Reuss-Ebersdorf, daugther of count Heinrich XXIV. von Reuß-Ebersdorf and his wife Karoline Ernestine von Erbach-Schönberg. Her paternal grandparents were Ernst Friedrich and his wife princess Sofie Antoinette of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel.

She was also the elder sister of King Leopold I of Belgium and the aunt of both Queen Victoria and her Prince Consort Albert.
