Her Imperial Highness Princess Hitachi (Hanako) of Japan, was born 19 July 1940. She is the fourth daughter of Yoshitaka Tsugaru.
She got married to Prince Hitachi, the second son of Emperor Showa, on 30 September 1964. Prince and Princess Hitachi have no children.
