Myadora striata is a bivalve mollusc of the family Myochamidae, endemic to New Zealand and commonly found half buried on sandy flats at low tide and in shallow water.
The shell is large and solid, ovate-triangular, the left valve perfactly flat, and the right half strongly convex. On the posterior slope of the right valve there is a narrow sulcus, and the whole surface of the shell bears numerous weak concentric ridges.
Coloration is white externally, and shining white internally.
Height is up to 36 mm, length 42 mm, and thickness 9.5 mm.
