Argosarchus horridus, or the New Zealand giant stick insect, is a stick insect of the family Phasmatidae, endemic to New Zealand and the only member of its genus.

At up to 15 cm they have the longest body-length of any New Zealand insect. They are commonly found in gardens on ramarama and in the wild on Astelia banksii, native and introduced Rubus sp. and climbing rata. As with most New Zealand stick insects some populations consist of females only.
