Chinchilla (stylised as CHINCHILLA) is an independent British singer, songwriter and music producer. She is originally from London, and describes her music as "kind of fiery soulful empowering pop".[1][2] In the UK she is best known for being the support act for McFly on their Young Dumb Thrills tour in 2021.[3][4] In Europe she is best know for supporting Sting on his 2019 My Songs Tour,[4][5] as well as for working with Estonian muscian/producer NOËP,[4] with their work being nominated for two Estonian Music Awards (EMA),[6][7] also performing together at the EMA gala shows in 2019 & 2020.[4]

Chinchilla's 2023 breakout single, "Little Girl Gone", became a viral TikTok song,[8] with almost a million videos created using the track.[9] Following this, Chinchilla was selected as one of a handful of inaugural artists to spearhead TikTok's newly created Elevate music discovery initiative designed to support rising stars.[10] On release the song became her first charting single, peaking at position 26 in the UK official singles sales chart,[11] and placed at position 5 in TikTok's top UK songs of the summer 2023.[12] With Little Girl Gone, Chinchilla became the first female soloist to debut at number one on the Billboard charts Emerging Artists chart in its six year history.[13]

Chinchilla took part as a contestant on The Voice UK (series 12), auditioning in episode 2 airing on the 11th November 2023, choosing Anne-Marie as her coach, and eliminated during the Callback rounds.
