Motijheel Commercial Area (Motijheel C/A) (Bengali: মতিঝিল বাণিজ্যিক এলাকা) also known as Motijheel central business district (Motijheel CBD) or simply Motijheel, is a central business district in Dhaka, and serves as the primary CBD or downtown[1] of the city as well in Bangladesh.[2][a] Motijheel boasts the largest amount of banks and other financial institutions in the country and also has a high concentration of news, magazines, print and other media publishers and government institutions.[3] The CBD is also home to the tallest building of the country and one of the largest concentrations of high-rise buildings and skyscrapers.[4] The General Post Office adjacent to the CBD is regarded as the zero point of Dhaka.[5]
