Tan Kesler (Born: 14 May 1979) is a Turkish football executive who is the vice-chairman of EFL Championship club Hull City AFC..[1] He is a former -FIFA licensed agent and was the president of HTK Sports & Media from 2017 to 2022.[2]
Education and College Career
Kesler attended Kean University in Union, New Jersey, from 2001 to 2005, and graduated on the Dean’s List. He played varsity basketball in NCAA Division III.[3] He has earned NABC All-District First Team,[4] MET Basketball Writers Association Second Team and NJSCAC/NJAC First Team honours during his college career. He is a member of the school 1,000-point club and is 14th on the all-time top scorers list.[5]
He has also completed 14 football development certificates given by UEFA and FIFA, including elite footballer development, talent ID and UEAFA elite coach education.[6]

In 2010, Kesler started his career in professional sports in the Turkish Football Federation as the Men’s National Team director. He represented Turkish Football Federation in UEFA and FIFA meetings. After 2013, Kesler also worked as a strategic planner for the Turkish Football Federation in which he organised and coordinated UEFA and FIFA educational events such as coach education seminars and professional development courses. He also led the development of scouting and performance analysis certificate programmes for the Football Development Department.[8]
In 2015, he started his agency career as Wasserman Media Group’s director of Turkish Football Operations. In 2017, he started his own sports agency, HTK Sports & Media, and acted as the president of the company until 2022. During this period, he advised and intermediated transfers for the Premier League, Turkish Super Lig, Chinese Super League and the UAE Pro League.[9]
He supported the due diligence and football advisory of Turkish businessman Acun Ilicali’s takeover of Hull City AFC in January 2022. Kesler was appointed as vice-chairman after the takeover was completed. Currently, he has waived all his sports and media consultancy duties to be on the board of Hull City[10].
In July 2023, Kesler was also influential in Acun Medya's acquisition of Shelbourne FC. Alongside his exisiting responsibilities at Hull City, he sits on the board at Shelbourne and also holds the position of Football Director.[11]
Personal Life
Kesler was born in Adana, Turkey, on 14th May 1979. Kesler is married and has one son. He is the son of Turkish international football player and coach Sevket Kesler.[12]
