Al Maha (Arabic|المها) is a community of the Emirate of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. It is located in the Sector 8 in eastern Dubai.
Territory
The territory of the community occupies an area of 41.7 km²[1] which develops in a non-urban area in eastern Dubai , on the border with the Emirate of Sharjah.
The area is bounded on the east by the Al Madam municipality of Sharjah, on the south by the Remah community, on the west by the communities of Umm Eselay and Margham and north by Dubai-Hatta Road (E 44).[2]
The territory is largely desert and falls almost entirely within the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, one of the oldest and largest protected areas in Dubai.[3]
The area is not currently served by the Dubai Metro. However, there is a surface line (Bus E16) which runs along the Dubai-Hatta Road and connects Hatta with the Al Sabkha bus stop in the historic district of Deira. The bus makes two stops, both in the north of the community: one called Nazwa Al Jabal Emirates Petrol and one called Nazwa Al Wista Supermarket at the Madam Road mosque. A second surface line, Bus 68, which connects Lehbab with the Al Qudra lakes area, runs along Margham Street (D 40) along the western edge of the community and has two stops: one to the north called Capture Desert Tourism and one to the south called Margam Farm, at the homonymous farm.[4]
