For Two Thousand Years is a 1934 novel by Mihail Sebastian.
Summary
The story begins in 1923 Romania and ends in 1934. It portrays the rise of anti-Semitism as witnessed by an unnamed narrator, a Jewish student. The story is told in the form of a journal or diary in which the narrator describes encounters with various characters who convey their beliefs about faith and politics. Throughout, the narrator coveys his own struggle to understand his place in the world.
