Rock Camp: The Movie is a 2021 documentary film that tells the story of Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp[1], an interactive music event where fans can jam with and learn from their musical heroes.[2]
Synopsis
A group of campers travel to Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp in Las Vegas, where dreamers from all over the world congregate to shred with their heroes - and learn to rock like the legends. Here at Rock Camp, summer camp meets Spinal Tap. The film focuses on the history of RRFC and its founder, David Fishof, while giving an inside look at one of the actual events in real-time. Rock Camp has been an institution and cultural phenomenon in Los Angeles, New York, and other places worldwide since 1996. Throughout the duration of camp, attendees partake in a jaw-dropping array of activities. Roger Daltrey, Alice Cooper, Paul Stanley, and Gene Simmons, as well as Nancy Wilson, Joe Perry, Jeff Beck, Slash, and a slew of other rock giants, are among the "counselors."[1] Over the course of four days, the counselors teach, motivate, and jam with the campers.[3] Each Rock Camp culminates with a performance by all of the counselors and their respective campers. Throughout the duration of the film we see campers overcome personal struggles and anxieties as they develop into rock-stars for the weekend.
