If there are any legitimate primary sources that back up the figure of 78,000, I would be glad to know. Tags: Reverted Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit
  • 21:0921:09, 15 September 2022 diff hist −39 m GoguryeoShort-term successors include the State of Bodeok, Little Goguryeo and Later Goguryeo as well. These are undoubtly successors albeit short lived. But the question should be whether the Andong Protectorate or the Ungjin Protectorate is a successor. These Administrative Organizations were immediately expelled after conquering due to Internal Rebellions and Opposition coming from the native populace, and ultimately Silla's Invasion. I've added another comment in the Talk Section. (GoldenTaurus one) Tags: Manual revert Reverted Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit

  • 20:2820:28, 15 September 2022 diff hist +154 m Protectorate General to Pacify the EastI'm sorry but your figure of 78,000 doesn't even have a primary source. Would it not be right for you to provide them first to make sure you aren't distorting historical texts assuming readers can't read Chinese? The figure 78,000 is surely distorted with deliberation if not a mere mistake that seems to be repetitive. You report me for 'vandalism' and call me a 'Korean ultranationalist' but I simply state what is, not what isn't. If you're not a cunning liar using wiki regulations, then provide. • 19:4719:47, 15 September 2022 diff hist −39 m GoguryeoMy edit is legitimate here and that of the Protectorate's wiki page (which I corrected your figure of 78,000 households that I suspect of deliberate distortion considering your vandalism in other Korea-related Contents). My arguments make it clear enough why Silla and Balhae should be written as sole successors. If you wish to include the Andong Protectorate, it is only right you include the Ungjin Commandery for the Baekje page and State of Bodeok + Little Goguryeo for this one. • 19:3619:36, 15 September 2022 diff hist −39 m GoguryeoThere is no denial of the fact that the Andong Protectorate held presence in former Goguryeo (albeit shorter than the Ungjin Commandery in Baekje). But there's a reason why we don't list up the State of Bodeok, Little Goguryeo, or these Protectorates as successor factions of Goguryeo despite being constitued by Goguryeo people. They were short lived and were eventually absorbed by Silla/Balhae respectively. The Andong Protectorate above all. Tang was literally EXPELLED after its defeat by Silla. • 19:1819:18, 15 September 2022 diff hist −39 m GoguryeoApparently, it does. And Baekje is as relevant as it can be with the case of Goguryeo since it outlasts Goguryeo in the sense of 'substantial government'. Tang's immediate conquest of Goguryeo does not signify any sort of 'state or identity succession (culture as well)' and the Protectorate was rather a limited organization that held a nominal sense. Silla was also deemed the ' Gyerim Protectorate' by Tang when Tang aimed to conquer Silla. It ended up losing control of all three kingdoms. • 19:0419:04, 15 September 2022 diff hist −72 m Unified SillaThe figure 2,000,000 is not figure backed with historical sources neither archeological accounts. Korean Figures in Population Growth regarding Korea rather suggest a higher number. Seorabeol (Gyeongju) alone had 170,000 households and one household im average held 10 people in Silla. • 18:5118:51, 15 September 2022 diff hist −39 m GoguryeoThe Ungjin Commandery established after Baekje's fall lasted for 11 years in former Baekje, longer than the Andong Protectorate that held a shorter presence in former Goguryeo territories after it was relocated to the outskirts of Liaodong following Tang's defeat to Silla during the Silla-Tang War. By 676, it was only an organization in a nominal sense with no actual control over Goguryeo territories. Also, Balhae Elites such as Park-Eo, Park-Seung, Mo Dugan, and Dae Yubeom alone each led 'thousands of households' which is far from the mere numbers of "a few hundred and few thousands". It is noteworthy to take into account of Crossley primarily working on Chinese sources based on works of China-based scholars. Tags: Manual revert Reverted Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit
